This year, soaringraven goes off the deep end … into the Sea of Fallen Stars! This diorama is going to be the set piece for an upcoming scenario set underwater near the city of Selgaunt in Sembia in the Forgotten Realms. Umberlee's Cache holds an artifact that definitely needs to be removed from the Realms – unfortunately it lies more than 30 fathoms deep and is guarded by a giant octopus, monstrous crabs and bloodthirsty sharks. Can't wait to see the looks on my players' faces when they see this papercraft terrain in action! The models used in this diorama, listed by manufacturer: Fat Dragon Games – The Sea Dragon (FDG0111), treasure chests from different sets Dave Graffam – crates and boxes mostly from the Smuggler's Rowboat set World Works Games – masthead from the Maiden set, barrels from Inn of the Feisty Friar Lord ZseZse Works – Battlemap from Ground Set #18 Seabed grendelsmother64 - prototype cannon
The sea creature miniatures are dime store plastic animals repainted and set on custom bases painted to blend in with the ground tiles; the reefs and sandbanks were cut from polystyrene foam and painted to match the ground tiles; the shipwreck and terrain pieces are decorated with actual sea shells and iceland moss cut and dyed to resemble corals and underwater plants
The diorama is rather huge and detailed. Should you like to take a closer look you can watch a short video of the set here

Excellent, as always soaringraven - my most excellent papercraft nemesis! :-) The leftmost photo is the entry image, I assume?
