Beautiful! That's all the same model right but with different options selected right? Yep! It's one 5x3" house and roof with different skins and add-ons like the dormer and chimneys. I will make a free Patreon lean-to for more variety for this one and an extra file for advanced modellers with doors and windows and roof interior.

I have finished the first house of the "Farm" series. And it turns out you can build a small village with it!
Read more info and see more pics on my site post. The DELUXE edition is released on my Gumroad. I plan to make some limited options basic editions for DriveThru later but after my illness I need a bit of a rest now

You don't, by chance, have any Rokoko furniture up your sleeve? Not yet! But I'll put that on my list :-) I have plans for a building set where that would fit, but no idea when that will be going into development.

Some more test builds to see how the different options are looking on the table. I got most options for walls and roof done now. The dormer segment adds more variation. Still need to work on the chimney and some weathering options.

The planks! So this will be the "framework" skin. But I will follow up with a wooden planks skin that has both sidings. And probably a third skin with just drystone, no wood at all.
It's just the options in just this set are so many. So I will split it up into several little sets and a final bundle, so I can get the first set out sooner.

In your concept drawing, you show the farm house siding as vertical. I hope you will offer a horizontal siding option, too. Going back to the Benton County, Missouri area, Cole Camp was a settlement of German emigrants. To the south southwest is Warsaw, Missouri, which unsurprisingly was a settlement of Polish emigrants. The oldest houses around Cole Camp had horizontal siding and the barns had vertical. I don't know of barns around Warsaw, but the oldest houses around there were roughly equally split between horizontal and vertical siding. I hope that you do both. You mean where the door is? For the basic edition I will have two fixed versions (one vertical and one horizontal). For the deluxe edition there will be 4 positions for doors and windows and you can customized them like you want via layers!

Here are a couple of pics showing the texturing WIP. I am focusing on a framework style first for the walls. But here are options to make different looks.
I will refine the textures more. This is just a starting point. I am already working on more details.
With the lean-to, dormer and chimney options I can already see a little settlement.

I am not surprised that the Europeans going to the US brought the distinctive buildings styles from their home countries. Some pics I see from old towns in the Rockies looks like it could be in the Alps!

The farm is more a generic euro fantasy type. I just got a lot of feedback to maybe also make some Wild West adaptions :-) That granary building looks cool. Never seen anything like it. Will keep that in mind for future projects.
In the meantime I made a small barn and stable for the "small farm" set. The barn roof is inspired by a typical Austrian roof type I see all over the countryside!

That brings back a lot of memories of a childhood spent on farms in the Austrian Alps. We kids loved to play in the barn. There were so many ways to go from A to B it was ideal to play hide-and-seek and it was full of animals, hay, tools and machines. Just a fascinating world in its own. And warm in winter! The cows were living heaters :-)

I agree. The barn dimensions are only limited by page size. I could go bigger with multi-page parts. But for beginners (aka parents trying this for their kids) I want to add a smaller option. They might be discouraged with the shelf space the large buildings would required and I am not sure if they will go for fold flat with the first buildings they try.

Just watched the trailer. The country they are showing sure looks like Austria in the mountaints. I bet Otto got homesick there :-)
Here's the large stable prototype ...
... and the large barn. Turns out it's huge. So will make some smaller versions too :-)

I have halted all my regular (martial) developments and want to create a set that will not only be of interest of tabletop adventurers and wargamers but also to parents in lockdown who want to build some toys for/with they kids and for the kids to play with!
That's why I am going to the FARM theme!
Here's a first sketch of what I am going for. Farm house, animal shed and barn building.
And here is a rough size blocking to make sure it all fits with minis.
I got a lot of feedback on social media that is pointing towards the Wild West, so I might make some additions (water tower, wind tower) that will make it compatible for that setting too!

The free version was such a big success but I got so much feedback on what people wanted to be added. So I made this deluxe edition with gazillions of options to customize both the obelisk and plaza ground tile, including snow, glowing runes and many more. See more pics and details on my site. Or get it directly here.

I just noticed that all my pics didn't show anymore. Not sure if that was just a problem on my viewing side but I realized that because I had no site certificate my site was seen as a potential threat by my firefox browser. After a little shock I read up on what to do and added such a certificate. So now, instead of just "http" you can load my site with www.papierschnitzel.com and it looks all fine again to me. And I see my pics again
If you have any similar problems please let me know in case I need to fix more in regards to this.
The internet doesn't stop! Hope I'll be able to keep up

Hi guys, just wanted to let you know that I have released this little free model to say thanks to the 1K followers I reached on FB and TW recently. It comes with a three tier marble obelisk (you can build only 1, 2 or all 3) and a matching 6" cobblestone ground tile. Also some option plaques with made up latin text
I think it should go well with a few settings I can imagine! Hope you enjoy it Chris
