Already been said, but I have to say the shading looks great-glad you liked my technique enough to give it a whirl and help find your signature style! Looking forward to more figs!

First up, thanks for that squirmydad-I only just picked this up over a month later! Will definitely check that out! On to the June Hoard-I realise it was a power armour theme, but I am on a real horror kick at the moment, and have started exploring outside the zombie apocalypse! First in line is John, the Occult Investigator: I'm kinda digging the look of the spell casting, and have a bunch of ideas for other investigators and Cthuloid horrors for them to battle!

Thanks all! I am very pleased with how the coloring turned out on this one-I think it was worth the slog, and as Jim says, getting the right color can sometimes be a matter of going through the whole of that color pallette 'til the damn thing looks right (and swearing. Lots of swearing ) Fingers crossed I'll get that test build done tonight and then we should be ready to roll, so don't put that blade away just yet abaddon!

Finally nailed that sucker! At long last Bioweapon 1 is finished! I just need to put the finishing touches to the bases and layout and the first Survival Horror set will be done!

Hey abaddon! Was at my father in law's for his birthday this weekend so had a break in the colouring, but will be back to it this week! I've had some colour issues with the bioweapon, but I think I have them figured out... Nearly there folks!

Hey hey! Quick update on progress-have the inks finished for the Bioweapon: so head down and colouring for the week! Oh, and Fear & Faith looks sweet-that burning smell is the cogs in my brain overheating from the figure ideas! Cheers!

Hey guys! Glad you like them! There are a bunch of these ready, and there are some 'flipped' versions-these zombies were just a sampler to show the fronts and reverse! And I have a bunch of stuff in the pipeline beau-quite a few of those sketches will indeed be finally seeing the light of day!

Hey guys! Quick update on the Survival Horror 2.0 sets... Got some of the zombies for this set finished up. Using the 'foot soldier' body and head and colour variants, I proudly present some ex members of the SHPD: I am pretty pleased with these bad boys, and happy that the 'foot soldier' body is generic enough to mod. I will be tackiling the Bioweapon this week!

Hey abaddon!
Great minds think alike-I was planning on collecting my Steampunk themed figs (with bases and maybe a re-colour or two) and also my Horror figs (the same) and asking Jim about how I make them available from here!

Holy cow! March? MARCH?? I can't believe it's been so long since I posted here! Anyhow, the Survival Horror 2.0 stuff I've been working on is finally taking shape, and I finally have an idea about what I want to include in the set (figs, bases, background info etc). I see them almost as little movie scenes, with a hero, monsters and a 'Boss', and kinda self contained. I am planning on the first set being called 'Last Man Standing', and have a few parts semi-finished up and some sketchy design stuff to work on. Here are a few bits: Jack (this sets hero) Bioweapon (the 'Boss') This guy is in the design stage at the moment, but I kinda liked his tentacle arm! And finally, I have modded some of Jim's bases for use in the set (with full credit when produced of course!): They're still a little rough but I am quite pleased with them. Well, fingers crossed and a little more hard work and the first set should be ready soon!

Thanks guys-glad you like them! I was intending on making some of the actual B.E.A.S.Ts to go with them for the Hoard but ran out of time. If there's enough interest I will get a few 'troops' done and package them up with Belle, Victor, Hook and Pan (maybe see if I can do a bit of a re-color to make it worth printing them out again!) I must say I have become rather taken with my LOEG/Steampunk inspired figs, so will get the thinking cap on and see what else I can come up with!

Here's my entry for May's Hoard: Beauty and the BeastI re-visited my Steampunk theme from April's Hoard-really started to get into the whole Steampunk thing! Enlisted by the British government in return for a full pardon, Moreau’s second wave of BEASTmen (Behaviourally Enhanced Animal Science Troops) were created to aid in the battle against the emerging wave of science pirates and supernatural invaders-notably the undead and mechanised troops of Captain James Hook and the ever growing Cult of Cthulhu. Initially untameable, only Moreau’s daughter Belle, a gifted scientist and hunter in her own right, can exert any control over them. Unbeknownst to Belle, their leader is her long lost love, Vincent, believed to have been killed in the Martian attacks. Saved by her half crazed father and his flesh mechanics, he battles his animalistic rage whilst Moreau looks for a way to make him a man once more…

Jose-you've certainly nailed it transferring the character to the game system! The 'Vox Dei' is a great interpretation of what I was thinking of when I was designing the fig, and your rules for the Screamers are great! It nicely integrates him with Jim's figs too! Pleasure working with you!

Jose-it's looking great! The 'Vox Dei' is just what I was thinking of when I was designing the fig, and your rules for the Screamers are great! I'm not too familiar with the game system but how you have interpreted the fig is right along what I was thinking of for his background. Looking forward to the finished product!

Cheers! A

Ooh, they look nice!
The back story for my Hoard entry this month has a little nod to the Cult of Cthulhu (as well as my Hook and Pan minis), and I can just see them duking it out in front of the idol with Jim's cultists or my Hook and Jim's Pirate Skeleton crew...

Hey guys-just picked up on this thread! First-love the racer designs; they are looking sweet! Second-the whole Angels vs Demons fig idea...love it! And I would be well up for doing some designs if you are thinking of pooling design resources! Plus, my wife has been putting together a script for a graphic novel along similar themes and I still haven't gotten any character designs done, so it should get me back in the good books! And if anyone wants to make a fig of me starting the human race, make sure the fig leaf is covering the modesty LOL!

Hey all! After what seems like an eternity of coloring, here is my entry for the April 2009 Hoard: I am really pleased with how this turned out, even if the Screamers were left in development hell until the last minute! I see Edvard as a kind of shambling menace, directing his 'children' (the Screamers-bio mechanoid familiars he creates from melding the heads of his victims with forbidden nano technologies and scrap metal) through eerie lullaby's from his speaker. Kinda dug this one!

Hey folks! Here is the entry for the March 2009 Hoard: I really got into this one, and if I ever manage to get any sets finished(!) I wouldn't mind taking a shot at more League of Extraordinary Gentleman type re-imaginings of other characters. Hope you like 'em!

hey folks!
Had a great birthday weekend, despite throwing my back out on the Thursday-the painkillers definately helped!
Am having this week off as sitting at the computer all day followed by sitting at the computer all night really doesn't help the healing process LOL!
I will be back to it this weekend though, and I want to try and get something finished for this month's hoard too.
Will keep you posted!!
