Hi everyone,You may have noticed that I was particularly quiet this weekend, as I normally manage to make a few posts during this time. Well this weekend I was busy working on getting the Elf Codex V.3.0.5 ready for release. As usual, this took longer than I originally thought it would… However, I am glad to let you know that their new rules and models have been released and are now ready to download from the following link underneath:
printandplayfantasy.com/the-imperial-elves-the-golden-masters-army-list/In other News… As some of you might know already, we’ve just had two polls end. The winner of the first poll, for which Undead faction we are going to be making up next is the Vampire Counts.
I will be posting about how we are going to proceed with them on the Epic Forum soon, so keep an eye out for that.
The winner of the other poll for which model I would be making up next was the Zombies. As you can see underneath, I have already started sketching out some rough models for them.As Zombies will be weaker than regular infantry that usually have bases sized 20x20mm and have one attack, I am thinking about putting them on 30×30 bases and giving them 1 attack each instead.
Pardon the pun… but once I really get my teeth into them this weekend, I cannot imagine them taking too long to make up, maybe about two or three weeks at most.
Just like with all of my new models now, I am planning on giving the Zombie models plenty of variety, just like I did with the Skeleton Warriors I made up a while ago. Btw, a big thank you to everyone who voted!Updating the Rulebook to V.3.9 Lastly, whilst working on the new Vampire Counts’ Codex, I will also be updating the main rules to V.3.9.The core rules will remain the same, with one or two tweaks here and there. The big changes will come however in the book being broken up into smaller ones, and making the rules more reader and print friendly. The book will be divided up into the Main Rules, a Spell Book, Magic Items and Additional Rules, such as a Siege Game and different scenarios for the main game.Lastly… I just wanted to say a big thank you to all my Patrons! I cannot tell you how much your continued support means to me, cheers A Big Special Thanks to: Andrew Tippman Brian Quirt Greg Kris Lachowski LordKena Luciano Molina Thomas Grant
Anyway, that’s it from me for now, thanks for popping by
Dave

If you want to scale up my models, that shouldn't be a problem, as I usually produce my models in quite a high resolution. Anyway, cheers and thanks for the advice

You make some good points there Wyvern, perhaps you're right. I think I will go with that option then, but it could be a while before I get that sorted and it would have to be one every few weeks. Btw, all my models are in the 15mm scale range. However, the Fortress Kit could adapted to work with different scales, as I thought that would sell better, but I didn't really want to faff about creating different scales for my models. Mind you, I don't have to do I... So I will just keep it all strictly for Three Plains then. When I post my first model with OBS I will post about it here to let you know. Thanks for the feedback again

Thanks very much for the update davec64! Just a thought, but will the Patron-only minis presently listed eventually be available for purchase-download from the OneBookShelf sites (Wargame Vault, etc.) too, like your castle model? I ask as, with the best will in the world (not to mention finite resources), there are a LOT of folks now running Patreon sites, and it's impossible to keep up with and support all that some of us (i.e. me!) might like, especially given the often very variable options and/or requirements for funding. No worries. To be fair I kind of know what you mean. Personally I would rather have an option to by what I want from a site than becoming its patrion. However, I don't think I would use Onebookshelf to do it. Simply because I would feel like I have to create models with different scales and sales pages. Can I ask would you be happy using PayPal and paying just $1 or $2 per model instead? For instance, for the Herlanceian Griffin and all its different Mounts it can have, I might charge $2. I would still keep all the none elite models totally free. Btw, thanks for your feedback, its always good to get it

Bless you sir I am sorry for not visiting for a while, but thanks for this bit of support. I'm getting warm fuzzies after reading that lol To be honest with you, the death of the site was one of the best things what could have happened. I was just going to let it die, but quite a few people wrote to me asking me where it was and how much they liked the game, which surprised me. So I decided to continue it. Also it gave me a chance to streamline the whole site, and now its a lot easier to maintain. Anyway I was just popping by, as I was planning to post a new model of mine here and found your post. It's the Herlanceian Catapult as you can see underneath. The Catapult will be a free model for anyone to enjoy, and I will be posting about it here soon with a link to download it. Btw, the Elves new codex, alone with the new Sky Masters will be released in a couple of weeks. Anyway, thank you for the kind words Wyvern

Hi guys, I thought you guys might like this free Model (Carnage or Armoured Troll), which is a free model to download at epicwargaming.com/carnages-their-cages-and-keepers-download-page/"Trolls cannot die of old age like most other creatures do, as they have the uncanny ability to regenerate.
In the wild, their numbers are kept in check by their predators and other natural causes of death. However, for those Trolls who stand the test of time will grow tougher and stronger than the rest of their kind. Yet their small and meagre minds were never meant to last forever…
As more and more time passes these beasts will go completely crazy and become a lot more dangerous.
Unlike most other races, Black Land Orcs do not see this as a failing. In fact, they use it to their advantage on the battlefield.
If a Black Land Troll is unlucky enough to survive a good number of battles, they will be turned into a Carnage.
Their entire body will have iron plates of armour with sharp spikes protruding out bolted into them. The bolts will be screwed directly into the beasts’ bone to hold its armour into place. All their claws will be ripped out and burnt to stop them from regenerating back. Then they will have long metal blades inserted, causing the beast unbelievable amounts of constant agony.
This process will put the beasts through immense and unspeakable pain, which would easily kill weaker creatures. However, because of the Troll’s ability to regenerate, they endure and are forced to live like this indefinitely.
This cruel and evil miss treatment of these beasts soon drive them insane, which makes them far more deadlier in battle then they ever were before!
These demented and hate filled creatures are wheeled out onto the battlefield in massive Iron boxes, as they are too dangerous to release before a battle.
One would think that as soon as they are released they would attack the nearest thing they can get hold of, being their masters, but they do not. Instead they always burst out of their iron prisons and charge strait towards the enemy every time.
The Orcs’ secret is to have all of their slaves do all the torturous handling of the Carnages.
So the slave handlers are responsible for bolting on their rusty iron plates, and they are also forced to whip and stab at them to build up their hate toward their race. Whilst the Orcs will feed them and remove their iron plates if needed.
Over time the Carnages come to despise their slave handlers and see the Orcs as the ‘caring’ ones. Because Orcs take slaves from all other races, the Carnages grow to hate them all, whilst the Orcs look good in their eyes.
This cruel method saves the Orcs from becoming a victim of their own monstrous creations on the battlefield when they release them upon their enemies.
However, such is the hate filled demented nature of these beasts, they cannot be controlled even by Orc Beast Masters when they are released from their iron boxes. Instead, they are always allowed to bolt across the battlefield and attack the enemy, ripping and tearing them to bits on their own.
In combat, it cannot be underestimated how deadly these creatures are. They can just about tear through any good unit of warriors fielded in battle. They can rip to bits cavalry, armoured man and horse alike with their bare hands. Even other beasts their own size and bigger fear them in combat, because of just how wild they are when they fight. They will never stop killing once released, even on the brink of death, they will just keep on fighting.
The only thing, which will stop a hate filled frenzied Carnage in combat is utter exhaustion and nothing else! In fact, they are more likely to drop dead of fatigue than any mortal wound the enemy can inflict upon them in a fight.
If a Carnage survives a battle, they will undoubtedly collapse of utter exhaustion, and be very close to death.
Only then will their masters dare to recover their war-torn bodies. They will see to it they will live on to fight in their next battle – continuing the Troll’s living nightmare…"Enjoy Dave

Would anybody be interested in reveiwing the Epic Fortress Kit at www.wargamevault.com/product/167437/Epicwargamingcoms-Fortress-KitIf you did, you would get a copy of the Kit, and all you would have to do intern is just write a small review of just a paragraph or so and rate it out of 5 stars on the WargamingVault. I'm looking for 1 to 3 people and if I have more, I will go with the first 3 to make it unbiased. Also, if we work well together, I will keep you in mind when I release another product on there for reviews. I'm in... waiting for further details ! P.S. PM sent Great stuff, cheers I have never done it before, but looks like I need to create a code, which I will send to you and it lets you download it for free. When I get back from work late tonight I will sent it to you in a PM.

Most of my stuff will be free for everyone to use and if no one minds, when I create more stuff, I will also post it here too. Yes please! Been following your blog and website for quite a while, thanks to Rhannon's earlier posts, and have been impressed by the inventiveness of some of your minis - not to mention the lengthy process that went into creating that amazing fortress! Be nice to see more of the long-awaited Elven minis, and maybe some variant fortress pieces for the Orcs and Elves (assuming they'd want different architecture, at least). The fort could work with just different wall textures, and maybe some extra "twiddly bits" around the battlements and doors, perhaps, so not really asking for a complete redesign here Thank you, and it's nice to know someone is reading my blog posts I'm working on the Elves now at epicwargaming.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=683, and there are some interesting ideas coming up for them. Furthermore, with regards to the new rules in the game, I'm going to have to rethink their mounts. So it looks like they will have some interesting models lol. What I do next is up to the Epic Members, who vote on what model I work on next at epicwargaming.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=680&start=10. Anyone is welcome to vote, so you can throw your hat in if you want It took me about a year working part time on it to complete the Epic Fortress. I did think of other adding skins for it, but it took me so long just to give it the typical stone wall look, that shelved that idea. However, I will make up very quickly some Pots of Burning Oil at some point to add to the fortress model. Also I need to create some Dragon Spikes too. It's a Three Plain fantasy thing, they help fend off huge flying creatures attacking the fortress walls The next big model I should be working on will be the Siege Tower, which again will be compatible with 15 to 25mm figures, and will have a working drawbridge too! The game testers of Three Plains and a few other epic members (myself included) want me to work on that one next. So the next poll I run, its very likely to win, or if not that one, the next.

Thank you for your effort in bringing us a great wargame. Your fortress looks good and rock-solid ;-) How long will the price stay at 5.99 $ instead of 19.99? I need to plan my expenses Thanks Aleks When I first sold it, I thought $19.99 was a fair price, as it was a whole Fortress not just a single building which usually sells for about $10 to $13, but I was wrong. I didn't realise that the competition was sell their own fortresses for $7 to $8. So it will stay at $5.99 for the foreseeable future. It be pull in a sale after Xmas, but I will have to see how it goes, which at the moment, its selling really well It is a strong model though. What you can't see is all the supporting framework in all of the models and they also use paper weights in them too, to make sure they don't move around on the gaming board. I also have loads of free stuff too at my site epicwargaming.com/ if anyone what's to use my models for anything. I also have a free Bridge too at epicwargaming.com/free-print-and-play-free-terrain/Most of my stuff will be free for everyone to use and if no one minds, when I create more stuff, I will also post it here too.

Oh... lol no I did all that by hand in photoshop myself. I had to scale it and work it all out myself, and there was a lot of trial and error too. My bins full of white card cuttings Though, it would seem that I do have head for it; I can just see how it will all fit together in my mind... Once I the basic print, I print it out and make the notes where it is too long or short, and then apply them to the second test print. I just keep doing that until it comes out right. I'm sorry, I know that's not that helpful to you.

Oh no your post is totally fine, the more traffic the better I say! So really Rhannon I own you thanks if anything for making the post, just thought I would add a few more details to it. I look into the donation button, so thanks for the advice again. Though after the Elves come out I am really going to have to start charging about $7 per book to keep the whole thing going. However, the revenue from the ads is slowly creeping up, so if I can make enough money from them I can keep the whole thing free for everyone And Good luck with the Treasure seeking eh as well Thinking about it... you might want to visit this link to help you out: epicwargaming.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=106Just adding this little note. I have just added a PayPal Donation Button

Hi guys, (really didn't know where to put this, so apologiesif it is in the wrong play ) On the new Epicwargaming Forum I have opened up a 'Poll' to determine which army to create next. It would be great if you guys could cast a vote by clicking on the link below and choosing an Army List you would prefer to see next in Three Plains (a old world fantasy wargame) or a game like it. This would really help me create a new army list which gamers would like to field on the gaming board, because the army with the most votes gets made up next. epicwargaming.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=24Thank you for your time P.S you learn more about Three Plains at: epicwargaming.com/index.htmlP.S. Also I think members of this forum would really like the Free Print and Play Army Session of my site too at: epicwargaming.com/HTML/Front-Pages/Thee-Plains-P&P-Army-Lists-and-other-Books.html
