Kev's Lounge has partnered up with a new company called TableClicks! In about a month's time, they'll be running a Kickstarter, and they'll be putting out a bunch of cool minis featuring art by some of your favourite paper mini designers! In the lead up to that, they're giving away some prototype sets, like the one in the picture above. If you'd like a shot at getting your hands on one of these prototypes, find out how to enter here: Kev's Lounge/TableClicks Giveaway.

Around February 2019, I set up Papercraft Gaming Wiki, along with mproteau (Paper Realms) and a few other interested cardboard creators. It's still a long way away from the vision we have for it, as we've only really been working on it as a side project, but never-the-less, it's time to let the world know about it so that other interested parties can get involved if they'd like to!
There are a few key things we want to achieve with this wiki, parts of which we've already begun implementing. The two main ones are:
A searchable and browsable index of paper minis that are available out in the wild. This is in place, and currently has a large portion of the Kev's Lounge minis in it, primarily because I was the one setting it up. It is however open to everyone who does paper minis, and if you'd like to contribute to it, I've set up some instructions on how to add an entry to the paper minis index. If you aren't actually a paper miniature publisher, but would still like to be involved, you're also welcome! There are many publishers who are no longer active in the community, and active publishers who do not have time to post their own stuff, and volunteers willing to take care of getting their stuff into the index would be doing the entire papercrafting community a massive favour!
Preview of the index
A useful reference section full of "How to" articles covering basic and advanced techniques of papercrafting and kitbashing The idea with this section is to have a community created resource that details all the useful stuff that people should know when they're crafting in paper. Basic techniques like scoring, cutting and gluing. Discussions on the pros and cons of various tools. Techniques for kitbashing using Photoshop. Advice for using automated cutters. That sort of thing! Unfortunately this section is still more-or-less bare, as none of us involved have had the time to give it the attention that it requires, but if any of you would like to get involved, this is another place where you could help!
If you have any questions, or would like to get involved, feel free to shout below!
Mountaineer, a dwarven ranger, equipped for life in the mountains!
At the above links, you'll be able to download a free sample mini of each of those characters. If you like what you see, you can subscribe and get access to all the poses! High tier supporters get customisable versions of the minis, being able to choose from millions of colour combinations at the $3 tier and being able to change details like hair styles and weapons at the $5 tier.

This little set of paper minis has a single character but represented in 3 different poses: One has her standing at ease, one has her engaged in battle and the the third depicts her riding out on her faithful steed!
All 3 figures have front and back art, and the PDF also includes removable, interchangeable bases for the figures, as well as instructions on how to build them!
This set is basically a sampler of the work I've been doing with my Champions Series. The sets in our Champions Series have even more poses, and an unmounted version of the horse. Higher tier PDFs are highly customisable allowing literally millions of possible options! Every month there's a new Champion!

Easiest way to break it up is to use the slice tool, which will allow you to save all 16 smaller images in one go. It can be testy with high-res images though. You can also print to PDF and set the parameters to tile the image over multiple pages... that works pretty well, but you'll likely still have to do some clean up.

Pics as promised!
These pics are not a part of my entry, just an illustrative supplement to it. The photos were taken by lightning who also created the awesome ships in the pic!

Oh, I agree 100%! In fact, adding some horse power to the world is one of my primary goals right now!
I have a pack donkey coming as a reward when my Patreon crosses the $200 mark. Every month there's a new champion, and each champion comes with a unique horse!
Here's the latest champion with her black stallion:

Thanks! yeah, it is quite a large task, but the most time consuming has actually been the monster task of assembling the PDFs. Fortunately, I've begun to automate that part of it, and the more I add to that arsenal, the quicker and more painless that part will become.
Just to give you a quick summary, each month I'll be releasing a new Champion, starting with the Templar shown above. It's a new and exciting concept, with each set offering the same character in a variety of poses so that you'll always have the perfect mini for the situation!
Starting at tier 1 support, you'll get the character in the following poses: • Battle • Standing, at ease • Mounted on a horse • Sitting • Unconscious
You'll also get a mini of the horse in an idle pose, without a rider, and you'll get a small portrait of the character to stick on a character sheet.
At tier 2, you'll get the same character, but the layered PDF will allow you to choose the colours you want. The Templar tier 2 PDF has about 3 million options for the character, and about 500 for the horse. You'll also get a line art version of the PDF for those who really insist on colouring stuff themselves!
Tier 3 is where things get really interesting! The PDF at this level opens up a whole new realm of possibility, allowing you to pick different hairstyles, choose the character's weapon and adjust details on their clothing! I'm not entirely sure how many potential combinations are possible with the tier 3 Templar PDF, but I'm quite confident that it's well over a billion! There's also a line art version at this tier, and this one includes all the various hair and weapon options!
I've already begun work on next month's release, a male Elven Mage, but you can already get the Templar paper minis here.

In case you missed it, the latest issue of this magazine's out.
The issue has over 100 pages, and there's a wide variety of content within including several crafting tutorials and an adventure for low level DnD characters and a Frostgrave scenario. Definitely valuable for tabletop gamer crafters like us! As you can tell from the pic, it also includes 2 new Kev's Lounge Paper Minis. I plan to become a regular contributor there, so check in next month for new minis from me and even more great gaming and crafting content!

If you're going to want full control over the design of the mini and also want to have the exclusive rights to distribute them and the art then you can expect to be paying well over $200 a mini. If it's a long term project, then you may want to just hire an artist in a full time position because it'll work out cheaper that way.

It's more than that.
Obviously, minis serve a specific purpose. They're markers used in tabletop games and that means you need to be able to identify them at a glance even when they're on a table more than a meter away from your eye. We recognise things by their colour and the shape of their silhouette, and that's fairly easy to do with a nicely painted 3d mini, but with paper minis it's a little different. Most gaming tables are lit from above, and a 3d mini has lots of surfaces to catch that light, but a 2d figure has only the front and back surface and those surfaces are generally almost parallel with the light beams, meaning that the light hits them obliquely and doesn't brighten them up very much. That makes it difficult to see the details of the mini at a distance, and the fact that the silhouettes are often imprecisely cut out doesn't help matters much. The purpose of the halos is to create a very high contrast outline that makes it much easier to read the silhouette even with weak light at a distance, and thus enables people to more easily identify which miniature is which without having to get up close to it.
Of course, it also helps to prevent my more darkly coloured minis from disappearing into the black border, and it means that I can give a very generous black border to help people who aren't that good at cutting stuff out while still preserving a nice, visible and crisp silhouette which helps with the issue I mentioned in the last paragraph.

I've always tried to vary things up with my minis, covering all sorts of things from a variety of heroes, townsfolk and all kinds of villains, but it's been many years since I put out some good old fashioned deadly monsters, and I felt it was time to do something about that!
With this set, I aimed to focus on non-humanoid creatures that one might have the misfortune of stumbling across while exploring a dark and dank dungeon!
In the set you'll find: • A Cockatrice • A Rust Eater • A Squid Worm • A Carnage Caterpillar • A Basilisk • A Giant Rat
As long time fans of my work will know, each of the minis has a ton of customisability allowing you to create a huge variety of them! This should come in handy when your adventuring party stumbles into a large group of them! (There's also a secret hidden layer, that you may find useful, once you've found it!)
Lovely, indeed. Will you do a second set with Halfling Town Inn Patrons? Or does the deluxe set offer variations with mug in hand or empty hands?
Inn patrons are something I've been giving a lot of thought to in the last couple months, and I am likely to release at least one generic pack of them in the very near future. I also have plans for a line of hero minis that will include seated versions of characters (and a lot more!), but I'm not ready to announce that just yet as I'm still figuring some stuff out. Hopefully I'll have news soon!

Continuing on our mission to bring life to your towns and cities with our top quality paper minis, we bring you another fun set of demi-human townsfolk! This latest batch adds a variety of little halflings that are great and small!
Given the little guys' famous love of food and relaxing indoors near a cosy fire, it seemed only appropriate to build this set around inns and taverns.
This paper minis set includes a pair of halfling civilians, a pair of halfling barmaids, a halfling musician playing a mandolin, and a halfling chef!
The basic edition contains the 6 figures shown above and only costs a dollar. The Deluxe version has the same characters, but is highly customisable with tens of thousands of possible combinations for each of them allowing you to create a massive variety to populate your Halfling Town!

I generally tend to just print stuff on plain cardstock because it's cheap, easy to cut and easy to work with, and though it does muddy up the prints a bit they still look pretty good and it's worth the trade off for the other benefits. Every now and then I'll treat myself though and print some stuff on gloss photo paper, and I will always seal that up with a good coat of spray varnish, and boy, do those look fantastic... the colours are so vibrant, the detail is so crisp, and the glass-like finish really makes it look like a professionally produced product, but it's expensive, horrible to cut, and scoring is always a gamble because it tends to go horribly wrong and wrecks the paper surface.

With respect, highlandpiper, I think you have it exactly backwards. Paper Realms is making cool terrain that is compatible the the products of a more-or-less defunct company precisely because that company simply stopped making new stuff almost a decade ago. They didn't close up shop because people were stealing their ideas, they closed up shop because they had no interest in contributing any further to this community, and seem to harbour an open contempt for all their fans, and an open hatred for every creator on the scene. There are several creators around today that are thriving precisely because they have the exact opposite attitude.

Got another PWYW set of paper minis for you!
The set contains figures for:
• Flukka, Slunt & Klumy, a trio of Goblin Rogues • Chief Tullowan, a werewolf hunting Goliath Barbarian • Baron Bardand Tull, a malevolent aristocratic Human Warrior • Mneferai Leonoptahep, a centuries old Elven Priestess, with an Egyptian aesthetic • Immeral Liadon, a charming Half-Elf Cleric
We're extremely grateful to those of you who support us... It enables us to devote more time to these allowing us to put out better sets and release more stuff more often!
The set also includes an artbook which has beautiful high-res art for each character and sketchbook images which give a little insight into the design process.

This small set of paper minis was originally created back in early 2017 as part of a collaboration with Guy from the How To Be A Great Game Master channel on YouTube. In those early days, Guy was releasing a small monthly compendium detailing his homebrew setting of Braxia to his supporters on Patreon, and these characters were based on some of the NPCs he created for that monthly Atlas, as he called it, and were released to those Patreon subscribers alongside it.
Of course, back in those early days, Guy’s channel was still fairly small, and very few people got to see and use these minis, and I felt that that was a pity, so I asked Guy for permission to release them as a PWYW set so that more people could enjoy them, and he eagerly agreed!
A lot has changed since those early days and today the How To Be A Great GM channel has grown tremendously, and is still putting out some great RPG content on a weekly basis! Below is the video we made together where we put some paper minis together:
Punkrabbitt: I am very drunk. I love you all. Thank you for everything.

wyvern: cowboycentaur: The Fat Dragon Volcano set was a stretch goal from the Wilderness Adventures KS back in 2015, so that should still be available in your DriveThru RPG Library. You should be able to find it there under "Fat Dragon Games".
