The author has been busy adding new buildings, coloring pages, cards, ornaments AND ... a new Hope Valley page. I really wish I hadn't looked up what 'Hope Valley' is, but you could have a very nice little Turn of the Last Century set. hopevalleyprintables.wordpress.com/ I also went to the FB page, and every time one of the detailed model photos is posted, there is always a comment about how it was an early version and unavailable for download. Razzum frazzum. They evidently had better models that they converted into 'Easy' ones. I'd heard that. I wrote to the author asking if possibly any of the old models (presumably payware) were still around. They no longer exist, apparently lost with an old computer, and were never uploaded. One wonders how the word spread - person to person sharing maybe. The kind reply ended with "maybe one day". I live in hope!

Did they post a name when they wrote back? PaperPrairie doesn't indicate male or female.
Right now, I have a printer that was a complete waste of money, and don't have time to work on much, other than work, but 'maybe one day', I can get rid of all the stuff emblazoned on the sides of the buildings. Well, not get rid of entirely, but turn them into 2d standees, and open up the porches, sheds, etc.

There are a few standees in their releases, but with no backs. Also figure sets and dioramas whose people could be reduced to 28mm scale or whatever. I use cast figures for gaming, time consuming as they are, mainly because I don't have room for a cutter. With backs added the LHOTP people wouldn't be too bad. Love to see the porches and sheds opened.

If you are interested in these, paperprairie.art.blog/2019/11/10/littlehouse/ , you may have noted that the designer is gearing these by location -- Plum Creek, Walnut Grove, Laura & Almonzo's . She has also done the Hope Valley set, hopevalleyprintables.wordpress.com/I don't know the stories or plots, but in a map of Little House locations, there is also Winoka, South Dakota. Maybe that is the location of Laura & Almonzo's models maybe. She is currently working on the Dakota Hotel for that After that will be the Winoka Saloon I am excited about this one because 1) it is very nice architecture, 2) it has zero room to do the simplified porches that I hate, and 3) it sits right next to the Dakota Hotel, which reminds me of my Garrick Inn and Harvard House. Maybe (if I finally break down and order the Brother Inkvestment printer I think I am going to get) I can set up my old HO train around the Christmas tree next year, surrounded by a bunch of these little buildings

Not sure what scale she was shooting for, but she is consistent. Pulling up the adult males at 300 dpi, they are all at 267 pixels to the eyeline, 89% of 25 mm scale (based on 10 fellers pulled at random). I don't think many gamers use 25 mm any more, but for 25 mm, these need to be printed at 112.3%. 120% for 30mm.

I dare say, I wish she would release the models before cluttering them up with people buggies and stuff. She evidently designs them clean before adding things. I have also been looking at her cards and calendars. Figures are in different places on them, so she must have clean copies that she doctors up before release

Have you tried writing her a letter? Perhaps suggest that train modelers would also appreciate "figure free" versions.

croweater has tried, but maybe a letter from me would reinforce the idea

croweater has tried, but maybe a letter from me would reinforce the idea Indeed, but this isn't to be taken as her resisting the idea. She was very amiable. I asked about her old, more detailed versions with full verandahs. These were apparently lost with the demise of an old computer. I don't believe they were widely released, from memory. But yes, figureless versions (with full verandahs etc) would be most welcome. Since she publishes in PDF form perhaps layering would serve for the figure issue - we could optionally switch off the people and wagons. It would still mean a lot of work for her, and I like the buildings well enough to donate to her website.

Lord knows I hardly have time these days to eat and sleep, but I wonder if she would be amenable to Playsets. If I could get blank buildings from her, and the figures she slaps on (I am sure she has a file of them), then she could offer the clean buildings and I can make minis of the figures. Maybe even create some of the Advanced Versions to offer on her site.
Maybe

Have you tried writing her a letter? Perhaps suggest that train modelers would also appreciate "figure free" versions. Got back in town this evening to find an email from Beatriz. She envisions things more for model railroaders than gamers, but as I help her package these up, I hope to set things up so they can fairly easily be enlarged. The first she sent to me is a clean version of the Hope Valley Library. She wants to have a set of ten Western Buildings. Wish me luck. Oh, yeah, here is her test build

I was able to check out the Library and it is already HO scale. It would need to be enlarged by 55% to be 28 mm.
Doing much better. Thanks. Need it today. Busiest day of Open Enrollment, though my first appointment is not here, yet. Supposed to have three appointments at the kiosk, then I am going to Clinton, Missouri to book meetings for April, May and June at the Rotary Club. Then I am meeting a couple from Calhoun and finish my night in North Kansas City.

Update time. Beatriz has two more models ready for testing, the sawmill office and the Winoka Saloon.
When I tested the doors of the mill office, the building needed to be reduced to 83% for HO, or so I thought. I test the scale by making sure the doors are to scale with other doors of other models in that scale. I haven't gotten to the saloon, yet. I really enjoy speaking with other designers. Things that hadn't occurred to me get brought up. I reported on the mill office that judging by the doors, it needed to be reduced to 83%. I got the response 'I will get the doors fixed.' That never crossed my mind. I thought of the whole thing, yet it really is only the doors that need fixed. Hmmm
BTW, I am really looking forward to the saloon
