Animals Bonanza or Animals Collected (Animals Pack?)/Mix - idea has been on my mind for some time...
Well I found that have quite a few different animal figurines "already ready" - collected over many years, distributed between many sets. Most of these character/figurines are presented/available in different poses - running, jumping, attacking, lying, lurking, etc. Then in addition, most of them are in different skin/fur colours, standing on different ground etc. So there is quite a lot of minis in total!
The basic idea is to 1) get them all together and 2) that they will be figurines of wild, natural animals, kinda mostly in their real surroundings, and of course without harnesses, saddles, etc. 3) they would only be mundane animals, so no monsters, dragons etc.
Then of course, I would have to scale them all appropriately, just to keep more or less natural proportions, plus standard outlines/contours and try to align the colours (remember that these figures come mostly from different, often stylistically different sets issued over many years).
There are only some of them in the attached preview (mostly in original versions) - others would be added over time, such as gorillas, giraffes, hypothetes, rhinoceros, tigers and more.
Then... maybe I could add also some "fantasy" versions - you know, ASPECT type - different colour shades corresponding to different states: magic/enchanted, night, undead or elemental etc., name it yourself:) In fact such figurines obviously could be both playable and "background/scenery" characters.
Well, assuming that most of the animals/figurines will be presented in different poses and colour versions, on different ground etc. all above mentioned will come out with 3 or maybe even 4 full-blooded sets?
Dunno, there is probably a lot of something like this available (?) but these would be at least consistent with my PERMES released figurines/sets.
>>> So what do you think about this idea, can it be interesting and/or useful for RPG gamers?
//Ok, perhaps way too many words, time for an example/preview pic...
