2022 Submission - Imperial Archaeological Base

This is a homage to the RPG, Traveller by GDW.

Background -  An alien device discovered by the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service on an uninhabited semi-arid world in an Red Zone (interdicted) system.   After the scouts establish a modular base station, communications relay, and refuellng, the Imperial Navy and its experts on the Ancients arrive to take over the study of the device.

Thanks, wasn't sure I was going to make deadline on it.   But having insomnia on top of everything else has one positive effect, I had extra time to put into it.  I used quite a few different sources and was amazed how well they all worked together.

So true. I go through these mildly manic periods. where I just stay up. Not necessarily because I'm not tired but my mind just won't stop. In fact after some potentially crippling computer issues yesterday, I am counting on my idiosyncrasies to power me through pics and submission of my model entry (provided all the right files are still on my zip drive). If body and mind allow I'm going to try to get pics for a PIA entry, just so you have something to beat. No promises, but it would be an honor to lose to this grand display.

Thank you.  Decided to do something other than my usual fantasy medieval.  I tend to build fantasy or modern, so it was time to head off to a different realm!    And I find if I break things into parts and work on just one part till its done, I burn out less often.  This time, the little parts just kept growing in number!

Got some preliminary sketches drawn up for some Sci Fi things, as well as sketches for buildings for a university build.   Was in a discussion about Brutalist Architecture, so I am going to design in that style.
