Well, what can I say. I do better at projects than creating individual models. So, to get back into the swing of things, I have a tonneau covered custom El Camino. Should be done today. But the '57 Chevys started in VK's Wasteland Motors, cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/thread/9657/vks-wasteland-motors , a 7-page thread with Chevys, buggies and the Snake Truck. I think the '57s need their own thread. To recap, I'm going to go back to the original thread and retrace where these came from.

Instead of calling this 'El Camino', since it is a couple years early, I think 'Ute' is more appropriate

Here's where I left off ...

I thought I had a build thread on the Nomad, too, but I might have to dig around more

The Ute is in non-proven ground at this point. It has been mentioned somewhat frequently, you need to use your printer somewhat frequently. Oops. I wasted too much time working on the open-bed version and working on the apocalypse/baja look. At this point, I have a red Ute with tonneau cover, and a blue one. Measurements seem to check out, but won't be able to build until Monday. I have a couple ideas I still plan to work on tonight

Well, the Nomad is certainly more classy than a Beauville, Townsman or Handyman, but the last three would have yielded a more usable bed. But short of building it (probably tomorrow), I think I have the open-bed ute done. I have tomorrow, the third and part of the fourth before I am back into the grind. Post-apocalyptic is looking very doubtful. I had to reposition things to get the bed onto the page, and things are somewhat tight. To make it lifted, with slightly larger off-road tires, it will make it even tighter. And then I have to re-texture. Very, very doubtful

Unfortunately, I was distracted by Damar Hamlin last night. Thoughts and prayers, folks. Thoughts and prayers. I did get three printed off at Office Depot, but the blue one came out more purple. Started scoring when Hamlin had cardiac arrest On the Apocalyptic version, I want to channel Rippin' Rooster Not the paint job, but the lift, body modification, tires and wheels. For the body, I can't decide on whether to go solid paint job (think 210 from the brochures) or 'barn find'.

Well, 2023 is starting off rough. Today was spent trying to resolve issues that were out of my hands for my clients. Nothing completely resolved, and already getting emails to deal with tomorrow.
This isn't happening until I get myself somewhat caught up

Finally had a little time to come back to this. Taking longer than it should ... out of practice. I think I am beginning to understand why some folks have difficulty with some of my designs. When you are out of practice making the cuts, you have to think more about what you are doing. Then you start second-guessing yourself. I need to stay in practice After gluing down the inner panel of the back end, you trim. I actually have that done, but no photo And wheels are taking longer, too
