Ok. Technically, I'm only submitting the topiaries as the kitbash, so keep that in mind. That's because I did the topiaries recently and did the statues ages ago. Still, for my own use, I bundled them up.

The Sales Pitch
As I wandered into the sun-dappled grove, I stumbled upon a hidden garden alive with topiaries, each intricately shaped into the forms of knights, wizards, and rogues frozen in time. Their leafy bodies whispered tales of adventure, now silenced by a curse who's source I do not yet know. The vibrant greens of their foliage contrasted sharply with the sadness in their eyes, forever trapped in this verdant prison, a haunting warning to any like myself who approach.
Further into the garden, my heart raced at the sight of majestic stone statues interspersed among the topiaries, each one appearing to be meticulously carved to capture a last moment of defiance. A valiant warrior brandished his sword, frozen in mid-swing, while a sorceress has an arm raised with a spell at the ready. The sunlight glinted off their smooth surfaces, creating an eerie beauty that belied the tragic fate of these once-vibrant adventurers. Am I destined to be turned them into one of these lifeless forms? Will my prize for uncovering the truth and restoring these souls be worth the risk?
I wanted to show that it's relatively easy to be creative in how you use paper minis and terrain, which seems to be the heart of the category here. I did a fair bit of layering of effects and textures to get details where I wanted them to be and to maintain enough contrast for them to still work on the table.

First, David was kind enough to let me share the modded minis. I provided cutfiles for them as well. Here's a dropbox link: www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/31jrsxbeov1r7z5s1uyk4/dfcf0-mproteau-reskins.zip?rlkey=uy5pnupygbj77duqodab1lmjk&st=hxix8osb&dl=0
The submission is based on Darkfast Classic Fantasy Set Zero: Basic Adventure by Okumarts Games. It's a Pay-What-You-Want title, so you're welcome to check it out. If you like it, I'd really encourage you to send a little change David's way as a thank you for making minis. Affiliate links don't cost you anything, but they do earn me a little referral bonus if you end up buying something. If you're bothered by the idea of affiliate links, you can just go to DriveThruRPG and search for the stuff. That said, every little bit helps keep us creators going.

To demonstrate how you might go about using these minis, here's a fun shot of a grassy area outside of a museum:
I was just using them as decoration, but who would suspect shrub-automatons? Always keep them guessing. Happy gaming!
