Ghostgirl to the white courtesy phone!!! Fat Dragon is getting ready to release some old west building sets and I'm really looking forward to using them with the mini's you made. It'd be great if you had some time to continue the work you were doing here! Hope you find some time to come back!

I know that GG was hanging out here whilst she was unemployed so I am hoping that things have changed for her and she is a tad too busy for her sketch book at the moment.

I hope she does return. She had some nice designs. Her technique was good and the result was nice and clean.

Hi. Wow. I'm surprised I still have a section on this forum considering how long I've been gone.

Hi. Wow. I'm surprised I still have a section on this forum considering how long I've been gone. Wow, she lives! ;D People here really enjoyed those early samples of your work and you've got a bit of a cult following awaiting your return. What's shakin'?

I honestly wish i had something to show for all the time i've been gone. Nothing bad happened to me or anything I just got caught up in other things and I distract easily. One month i'm interested in miniatures and the next it might be MMO's or vegetable gardens. I did find some employment that was taking up some of my free time as well but now i'm back to living on an artist's salary and have more time for artistic pursuits. I recently blew some of the dust off my Inkscape skills to see how rusty i am. I was working on some bronze age/sword and sandals type figure ideas which requires more naked skin than clothing. However, it seems there is even more call for western figs now than when i first started working on them. If there is enough call for it I may go back and work on them again. I can always use the nude body parts for various western figs as well.

It is a rather varied group here. I've also noticed requests for Ancient Indian and Byzantine figures.
I'm sure whatever you are interested in, there will be someone looking for it.

Hi again About what to draw: provided that you have fun drawing figures, i think that your western figures will gain a lot of "value" if you'd like to draw some native american, some mexican and some of the other canon western cliches other than sheriffs and bandits. Also brawling figures, cowboys, and some common people (a kid, the classic old man with white beard, a pipe and a civil war hat, some woman, the blacksmith) could help to use your figures in almost any scenario. Or, at least, these are the figures i'd need to play some western skirmish

Bronze Age Sandal Adventuring ? ME ! I wanted to start with a Chaosium Basic RPG playing 1600 BC. For inspiration I recommend the hilarious old school D&D-variant "Mazes and Minotaurs" (please google it, you will not be disappointed !) or the hardcore researched game of John Kirk, "Legendary Quest" (several books of authentic myth and lore). Both game systems are completely FREE ! ghostgirl, your torso/head studies are very elaborate. Really clean style. I hope you'll continue ... .

Ghostgirl, since you seem to be back for a bit, as the other western nut on the board, I wanted to say thanks for the inspiration and great work you've done so far. I learned a lot from you.
