Another multi-layered model set that's nearly ready for release. This is probably the last of the smallish medieval/fantasy sets I'm going to work on for a while. I'm hunting bigger prey now.

I like how these turned out a lot! It is so tiny looking I'm not sure the three piglets could live there.

Hi, Dave.
I was wondering if you had any plans to do thatched roofs. The geometry of a thatched roof would be a little more complex, assuming you would want to reproduce, to some extent, the thickness of the thatch.
Also, I'm looking for a way to make a building look like it is on fire. I imagine that wargamers of all sorts would be interested in this as well. A flames and smoke piece that could be added wherever needed would go a long way.
Cheers,

For the time being I'm focusing on models that are very easy to build. Thatched roofs might be a bit more complex that I want to go just yet. I can think of an easy way to fake the appearance of thatch, though. I'll have to see how they work out in my test builds before I include them in any new models.
Are there lots of games that need buildings on fire? I'd have to think carefully about how to do that. Can you show me any examples of what you have in mind?
I have some ideas for half-ruined buildings, and I hope to get around to those relatively soon.

I just want to point out that one thing that goes a long way to these awesome buildings is to print an extra roof tile set and cut out each shingle, or at least row of shingles, then glue them on top. You wouldn't believe the extra realism you get when doing that. Of course, I'm cheating with a robo cutter, so all I have to do is play with photoshop, then robo-ize the file, but it's pretty darn spiffy.
