I'm trying to do a model a day untill I have the following: 4 Skeletons (3 finished, 1 in progress) 4 Zombies (4 in progress) 4 Ghouls (1 finished, 3 in progress) 2 Wights (2 in progress) 2 Mummies
A Blood Bowl Undead Team can currently field 0-16 Skeletons 0-16 Zombies 0-4 Ghouls 0-2 Wights 0-2 Mummies
With only 11 Players on the pitch at a time, and 8 spots being eaten up by the Ghouls, Wights, and mummies, I don't think I'll need all that many Zombies and Skeletons. At the most, I don't think I would need more than another 4 of each, which could easliy be resovled with printing a mirrored sheet.

These look really good - nice work. I'm looking forward to the complete set Will you be making a ball standie too?
One question/suggestion though: the player numbers - where will they be placed? Maybe you could add a small area (probably on the back side) where coaches could write the player numbers - or you could make a small set of numbers 1 to 16 in a design that fit the models (or maybe higher, depending on local house rules or coach preferences - i allowed up to 25 players on a team (but only 16 to a game) in a league i ran some years ago. One of the other coaches went for an NFL style numbering system with numbers up to 99.)
One of the teams i had was an undead team called Midnight Maniacs (team colors was grey and purple). In one game a zombie suffered all 3 injuries in one game - first he was Badly Hurt, which we regenerated from. Shortly after he suffered a Serious Injury, which he also regenerated from. Late in the game he died... and did not regenerate...

I've heard things about Blood Bowl but never tried it. Maybe when these figs get done I'll have to go see if I can find some rules and try it out. Cobra has made it sound quite fun (that someone can die in a football game and that's ok).

Anyone who's interested can find the Blood Bowl Living rules for free here www.bloodbowlonline.com/Rules.shtmlIts kind of like a compendium of all of the Blood Bowl stuff that has piled up over the years. It even has all the stuff to run a league, which is really fun if you have enough committed people to make it work. Me and some friends ran a Blood Bowl season many years ago and it is still one of my fondest non RPG gaming memories. Also, though I haven't read or played it, I have heard good things about ElfBall, which is another fantasy football game system. It's not free though, but I must admit I am curious about the round pitch.

I had thought about adding a round armored plate on the backs for the numbers, but I wanted to do that as an optional layer.
Blood Bowl is fantastic fun. It incorporates everything that is good about football with a heaping helping of humor, and the ability to beat your opponents into the dirt.
I can't access the above link, but just search for Blood Bowl Living Rulebook. You'll want the 6th Edition, which is the latest, and I believe should be available for free, directly from the GW site.
3rd, 5th, and 6th edition are all great, just stay away from 4th edition.
4th Edition had a bunch of poorly playtested rules incorporated into it, which they abolished with 5th edition.

I didn't even realize there was a 6th edition... I suppose I am just a little behind the times. Still, Blood Bowl is a ton of fun... Sorry about the link, it works for me, then again it doesn't lead to the 6th edition.

It's not free though, but I must admit I am curious about the round pitch. I don't know if this is the full rules or not but it looks like BBG is posting a link to some ElfBall Rules (v5.1). I guess you can take a look at them after all Edit: So I did some more searching on ElfBall and it looks like they have done a second edition and offered the rules for free!

My model a day progress got a swift kick in the nuts with my computer crashing, but I have been able to get my hard drive installed in my backup PC, and saved the files.
I showed my gaming group the few I had done and they were quite excited by the concept. I've been flooded with requests by them for additional teams and support characters (cheerleaders, coaches, etc..) so I may be doing quite a bit of Fantasy Football related Figures.
I've seen Elfball, but I'm not a fan of the Circular Hex Grid Playing field. At least not enough that I want to buy or build one to play Elfball.

You hook football fans into miniatures gaming with it ;D

Aha, another gamer who's spotted that GW has adopted the same marketing strategy as crack dealers. "yeah, just go to the website, you can get the rules free'.
Same with the WFB box set.... "yeah, it costs the same as the rule book, but you get £300 worth of figures in it, that'll get you started".
Seems fine, but three weeks later you're selling your Grandmothers wedding ring to buy your next pack of rat ogres.

:-[On an actual on topic note Those models are brilliant, I can't see how you've modded them exactly, it looks more like Jim drew a bloodbowl team in his fantasy style. Really good work

I'll be doing more teams and support models. I'm splitting my time between making Blood Bowl Paper Miniatures, making a BB team with actual miniatures, building a custom BB Pitch, and playing BB on the PC. There is a newly released BB PC game with all 21 teams for $40, but I just bought the not-deluxe version that came out a year or so ago with only 9 teams for $6.64 from Amazon. If you play in the turn by turn mode, it's an exact representation of the BB miniatures game. For under $7 I couldn't resist. You can play solo, or online against other people. It's a great resource for me to get ideas about how Bloodbowl players and fields can look. But yeah, back on topic. I plan on first making paper models to cover all 3 undead related teams (Necromatic, Undead, Khemri) than I'll see where it goes from there, because after that it's going to have to be original art and not so much kitbash. I'm good at drawing the basic figures, but I don't color them anywhere as near as well as most of the crowd here is capable of.

I'm good at drawing the basic figures, but I don't color them anywhere as near as well as most of the crowd here is capable of. First: PLEASE do some opponents! Goblins, Orcs, Elves, Dwarfs.... whatever, but please make at least a squad of opponent.... otherwise all your efforts will be of no use for who does not own any BB miniature. Second; if you plan to make your figures with a vector program, i' may take the ball (eh eh ;D) and try to color them. It will be my first coloring job (talking about miniatures; i already use CorelDraw at work to do the icons for my apps) so if you want more experienced hands to do that teams feel free to tell it to me without any fear

While I do plan on making other races, I chose undead first because it covered soo much ground. There is also nothing in the rules stopping players from playing teams the same race either. I tried using inkscape for vector art, but the curve for self taught vector art was more than I was inclined to deal with at the time. I'm getting to be whiz toying with GIMP. I don't think I'll ever get around to covering all 24 teams, but since there is some overlap in models (Goblins, Trolls, Skaven, Ogres) I'll probably be inclined to work on a few more teams with overlap (Chaos/Demon Pact) (Goblins/Underworld/Skaven). Any team I can kitbash will probably get some consideration

I bought a new PC, so this will be the 3rd PC I've worked from in the last week. There will be a bit of a delay as I re-install and copy over the needed files for this project.
In the mean time, there is a pair of Blood Bowl Paper Minis I posted in my blog that you can add to your collection.
Link to my blog in my sig, if you haven't noticed. Feel free to check them out and comment.

really really nice!!!
The only problem i have is with the top right skeleton: looking from the torso going bottom to the right foot i've have some trouble with what is in front of what.... the blue "back cape" seems to become in front, over the hip... the central.... kilt? how you call it? stars in front and ends in the background, sort of inside the boot.... i dunno... there's somethink that makes my eyes crossin.
