Due to my system disk death, i'm reinstalling everything ( ). Now i'm in my vanilla Firefox + NoScripts. and i'm re-enabling or re-blocking the javascripts from certain sites. I'd like to know what's the function and how much they are needed of the js that i may enable for this forum. Right now i've scripts from the following sites waiting for authorization or permanent banning: gigya.com cdnlayer.com gravity.com Thanks

Unfortunately the forum here is hosted and ultimately controlled by proboards. Gigya is so you can login with facebook/twitter/google/etc. accounts. Gravity and cdnlayer are for statistics I believe. You can block them if you feel you need to as far as I'm concerned. Now whether proboards takes any action (which I highly doubt) is another matter. As far as website scripts go, you can probably block anything not coming from that domain but things like the flag counter or RSS feeds might stop working.

Thanks. I don't use any of that features, and sure disabling them don't affect the forum functionality, for me.
