I like a lot that Silo made from a Pringles tube with just some texturing glued on it (i guess is by Toposolitario but i have'nt found the link).
I'd like to use the same idea for medieval simple building. As i'm unable to do it, i'm searching for someone that will like to build some textures to be glued on the tube.
What i'd like are (sorted) 1) Stone brick texture, to make a tower, with that tiny holes from wich throw arrows, arranged in a spiral pattern. 2) Wooden tower. Same as above but made of planks. 3) "Wizard" tower. Some black stones, or a marble one... dunno. Somewhat that may have been made by a wizard.
Anyone wants to draw something like this?

I can look into adding different textures. You'll have to test build it as I'm very low on ink again. Alignment would be a bigger issue with stone blocks, but if you don't mind it a bit irregular I can put it together much quicker. I do have another project to finish up first.

You know that with something like that, everyone will be screaming for it.
Are you limited on bandwidth at your site?

I have no bandwidth limits and no storage limits. The gentlemen that set it up as a sub-directory of his site was very generous.

Uh, sorry for the mistake. It start to be difficult to remember who made what with so many artists. I can look into adding different textures. You'll have to test build it as I'm very low on ink again. Alignment would be a bigger issue with stone blocks, but if you don't mind it a bit irregular I can put it together much quicker. I do have another project to finish up first. Well, it will be wonderful. About alignment, it is not really a problem. Irregular stone blocks can help, but after all it is not meant to be a perfect model, just a fast and easy scenery piece. Thanks!

OK here is what I have. Let me know if their are problems. If you can, take a picture of them so I can use it as an example in my gallery. Dark Tower Mixed Stone Tower Wood Tower Tutor Tower See Album: Tower tommygun.sector-17.com/tommygun/main.php?g2_page=2

Very nice
How'd you throw all that together so quickly? Did you have it partially done before it was suggested?

I turned the original template into an alpha mask and then prepared several textures from CG Textures. Then I just dropped the mask onto the textures and added details like doors and windows. It was about two short evenings of work.

Nice, hadn't seen these before. I'm going to have to go buy some Pringles for tomorrow's snack.

Amazing, now I'll try to add some crenelations to a Pringles can. Then these towers will really shine on the table!

Amazing, now I'll try to add some crenelations to a Pringles can. Then these towers will really shine on the table! I meant to do that and a little mini tower coming from the side, but I was too lazy to do it. At some point I would like to do some stairs on the outside and a round pointy roof, but I'm in no rush. Feel free to mod it all you want.

Wow, I didn't know Tommygun's gallery. Simply amazing, not only the pringles tower but all of those models! I've got to try to build some of them to use with Mutants and Death Ray Guns...
Congratulations on the great models and thanks for sharing.

Spend some time there. It's a huge resource base.
