I made up this mini as a diversion over the weekend, but I am relatively happy with how it turned out. I may even enter it inthe upcoming papercut awards.... And the PDF... www.mediafire.com/?nav1icdidadxoic

Dunno what makes you VERY happy then: i've seen T'shirt and "new age" posters much more worse than that! To me, it is great! A pain to cut, but great ;D Have you never tried to change the outline color on the "spell" and water shapes, to give a less "solid" feel?

That is gorgeous. I totally agree with Parduz. I've seen a lot worse on published work. You may be holding yourself up to too high a standard if you aren't happy with this.

She looks great, and would make an excellent submission to the papercut awards.

I think I've found the Lady of the Lake for my Arthurian campaign.

In my game the characters often return to the pool of Nevia the Niad, an ally located in the thick of the Dark Shadow Forest. This piece will serve wonderfully for this NPC.
Dryw the Harper
(This piece is way too perfect to be an Imperfect Person).

I may even enter it inthe upcoming papercut awards.... Don't forget, this year's Papercut Awards (since it's the first) can include anything done up to July 31, 2011.

Thanks everyone!
I'm not so super critical of my work as the wording of my initial post might make it seem. I do think this is one of my best minis to date, but I tend to notice the little things that I didn't get right or that didn't look the way I imagined them instead of enjoying the overall effect.
@ Parduz:
Changing the boarder around the spell effects sounds like a good idea. Next time I am working on minis I may give that a try. I've been wanting to enhance the spell effects, but the boarder change never dawned on me.
I may try and combine some printable transparencies in a build to make the spells truly transparent, but I may be working with parts that are too small and fiddly to make that work out right.
I imagine (as long as I don't wind up being ridiculously busy or something) I'll get a good build done of this mini and enter it in the Papercut contest...which I think is a brilliant idea Nik, I hope there are lots of entries.
