Great, great stuff here, Okum ! The Easter Eggs are superb. I especially like the muscular anatomy of the left Bird Demon, the relaxed Samurai Sword Chick and the grinning Fan Samurai. But all of your minis are great, Okum. I expect nothing less. You are very consistent in your quality.

Thanks Paladin! I try to have each figure have a distinct character. When I return to the Serene Fist line in the fall there will be more Wuxia type figures as well as some classic martial arts movie heroes and villains and maybe a bit more along the lines of "mythic" critters. We'll see what I can come up with.

They look great at 15mm, the variety in the poses makes big units look really dynamic (especially the ninjas, they look like they are pouring across the table).

It'd be cool to see some 15mm photos at some time. I always like miniatures with more dynamic poses. Some of the superhero minis I'm working on are REALLY dynamic. (oops, did I leak that?)

Good timing, I just sold a hovercraft so I was able to buy the latest set. I likes 'em! ;D My only criticism is that the bows on the samurai figures seem a little short. Part of that is the bulk of their armor, which is great, they look like tanks next to the ninja. The bows just seem a little short.
Are their cavalry coming this Fall?

I just bought all nine sets. Thanks for the great job, okumarts. Beautiful minis , lovely bonus ... ;D I prefer sets with layers ... but only because so there are more paper-minis. Now some U.S. cavalry and indians for Whiplash Trigger series, space amazons and retro-sci-fi human infantry for Retro Space and samurai cavalry and arquebusiers for Serene Fist. Great job, Oku. Ciao PS: ahh ... arthurian and/or late romans for dark age ff adventure line

Hmm squirmydad, I thought the bows were within the range of my references. There should be cavalry coming in the fall, yes. Rhannon! Thanks so much for buying the sets! I was up late drawing and around 3 am my phone started beeping, indicating sales notifications from RPGNow. It was funny that it just kept on beeping. I said "thank you" to you as I heard the beeps. I'm up late again researching my Dark Ages line. I may need to release multiple sets for each "side". I'm limiting my 'era' to 700 ad - 1066. This provides a very cool mix of forces to research and draw. The WHole Merovingian Frank era is fascinating.

I may buy these sets if only to mod them to Usagi Yojimbo standards. The okum style meshes very well with Sakai drawings.

They let me do one of my own choosing, and I did a fleeing peasant! It was fun. It would be so cool if they would let you do some tie-in promotional figures of some of the Usagi Yojimbo characters! Have fun! Steve

Well I finally got to pick up all of your sets and I am basically gobsmacked. They are freaking awesome! I just finished cutting out the orcs and they were probably the easiest to cut out that I have done. I really like the shading and details on all the sets. Keep up the great work! Now to build some vikings!!! ;D

If anyone has photos to share of their games, I'd love to see them!

I have plans to use them in my next couple rounds of ERA OF WAR!... however, I am experiencing issues with RPGNow.com. I have. Purchased a few sets using my phone... but my computer doesn't like that website. I can't seem to log on but once in a great while. Grrrr... nothing is more frustrating than buying a heaping helping of Okumarts goodness and can't access the account to download them... Patience...

They are awesome! I'm hoping to see a Monks and Bandits II with some of the monks having Staves and shaolin weapons.

I'm thinking of weapons and no weapons layers like the Vikings.

Well, if you position the figures correctly, you can do one with staves, one with nothing, one with katanas... and one with... energy weapons!
Seriously, with the left arm raised about 30 degrees from the face, you could lower the right arm, and that would create an angle for the figure to be holding a spear. Then you could switch it to be holding a knife/kris dagger in the left hand and a katana in the other...
Actually, something similar to that cat-folk sketch I drew... not that I would EVER try to make suggestions to you...
I am not saying.... I am just saying...
Actually, if the arms were out to the side, you could switch them out even easier. More sketches over on my Critter Valley/Era of War thread...

This is a bit of a change of pace, but I think people will find the miniatures fun and useful. Some of these are making me laugh as I draw them. Attachments:

I was drinking coffee when I checked this page.... I laughed and some coffee came out of my eye. How is this possible? They are awesome, in fact, they have inspired me to run that zombie RPG I always talked about. Halloween is going to be unbelievable this year.
Thankyou.

So does this mean for the easter egg you will throw in a few non-furry zombies (pretty please) ?. It will be great just to have the furry zombies. I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished.

You are one freakey dude. I mean that in a good way. Can you release (or suggest) a multi player rules set for these?

This is the convention I went to this weekend. You need some really tall bass playing dude dressed as a Japanese school girl, complete with twin pony tails. He was an excellent guitar player, the all-girl cosplay musical group just didn't have a female bassist and asked him to help out. He even shaved his legs for the show.
