I'm trying to make all the terrain and miniatures for my Mutants And Death Ray Guns campaign paper and portable. One of the scenarios calls for the characters to scavange though piles of Archeotech/Junk for workable artifacts. I originally thought of flat tiles, but that was too boring so I took it a step farther and made junk piles that are stackable for easy storage. JUNK PILES

These look like you could put tabs on them and go glueless. Then they could flatten for storage.
Just a thought

I was thinking you could have a second sheet of random metal plates like I did for my Ork fort. Then randomly glue them to the junk piles to make them more 3D.

Those are both excellent suggestions. I had tinkered with the idea of additional 3D bits to glue on, but I figured that I would at least make a simple version first. I've also built actual junk piles, that after I paint them, may use them to reskin the basic ones..

And I see the van and your clunky robot in the background ...

All of my "in progress" projects are sitting between me and the PC. Otherwise they would be out of sight and out of mind.
That van has detail work drawn in by hand, but I've already created the digital art for the the details like windows and doors, etc.. It still needs colors and textures.
The new Klunky needs the legs entirely redrawn digitally before the geometry is finished.

Those piles of junk look great! (now that sounded weird.)
I must finish the truck but I don't think it will happen before the weekend.
