Hi there! After releasing the latest Shuffler version, I can now proceed experimenting a little bit more on randomly textured tiles. Many times you see maps, even well designed, with boring repeated tiles for floors. It is convenient for the drawer: you have to design only one tile and then copy it again and again one near the other. It is time consuming to draw many different tiles and moreover they need to be similar each other to give a fluid glance of the terrain. In Shuffler it is in that way now and I tried to draw smooth tiles that can be personalized by overlapping dirt, fog, shadows, light, etc. Nevertheless for more colored tiles you cannot avoid the repetition of the same tile. You can design two or three different tiles, but the result is quite the same. Well, then? You will ask... or you have already moved away... My plan is to make some experiments with randomly generated tiles. Each tile is made up of several littler tiles that can be combined together to form each time a new texture "familiar" with the previous one. Just to give you my first test, here to you a 2x2 floor: "] You don't see where a tile ends and it starts the other. With a 7"x10" floor all the map is unique. I plan to draw some more regular tiles, just to create a library and then goes to irregular terrain like flat stones and even cracked ones. At this point I'd like to receive your comments, suggestions, and also collaboration. You can reply here or in PMI forum or by email. Thank you for your attention, Claudio Paper Make iT !

People that like gridded maps can always turn on your grid overlay to give them a map feel to it as well!
Great work as always!

Thank you Kiladecus for your active support here and in your reserved section.. ;D Here a new texture with 5 different tones of the same brick: Of course over this you can place shadows, dirt and several objects to customize the terrain.

A DEMO test version has been set and placed here. You need to run Shuffler 2.10.1 to test this set.
