But that's the wrong link. I keep getting Dragnoz's Storm Troopers. I'm sure he likes the page hits, but I'd also like to see the FDG product.

That does look pretty nice. Has anyone played it?

I just picked it up. The game play seems pretty straight forward. I got it mostly for the models..

Now why did it do that? I'm sure I copied the FDG link, but it pasted the previous one, oh well thanks for correcting it Glenn

I'd love to read more about how the rules compare to, say, Mech Attack. How much customization is possible? Does it allow mixed forces (infantry, vehicles besides mecha)? How much stat tracking does it require during the game?
I might end up buying to find out but if someone who already bought could comment, I'd be thankful.

I haven't actually *read* the Mech Attack rules - I just wanted the terrain to use in a Mechwarrior campaign - but I did get a chance to read through Lost Reich's rules.
They are very basic right now. Customization of mechs are increased shields, movement, jump ability, and/or more jump fuel. Infantry isn't in yet, although Tom over at FDG has stated they are planned for an expansion.
Stat tracking is pretty minimal. You keep track of the damage taken, and sometimes the # of turns an effect lasts. I think there is some attack value tracking due to damage taken, although I'm not certain about that one. (I don't have the pdf handy.)
There isn't any customization of the physical construction of the mechs at this time. There are layers to provide options on paint schemes, #s, and damage.

Thanks for the info, pblade. This sounds good although I expected some customization on the weaponry.

Feel free to delete this but those mechs look really basic and just plain. If the rules are good I might get it but I'd much rather use TOPOS World War Wierd Mechs. Now I understand these are 15mm but I guess I would have expected more. Attachments:

There weren't many folks asking for customization of the mechs, so I suspect that was sacrificed for ease of construction in this initial set. I wouldn't mind seeing that option myself, if you can keep the complexity from getting too great.
Given the background of the game's setting, basic mech designs at this point make sense. The conflict's just started, so grunts in the field haven't had much chance to influence things yet. What I will suggest to everyone here is to drop by FDG's boards and make suggestions & comments there directly. As others on this board can attest, FDG definitely tries to give folks what they want.
