Called to the blackboard by Rhannon...
Now you can think about a bonus figure.
...assassins - silver-headed, highly trained and powered by elemental-magic...!!!
...and then partially inspired by Dragnoz (vide his superb silver-headed assassin mini), I'm submitting for your evaluation and judgment current stage of assassin-project:
Witchers
In general figure is related to Dragnoz's version in few common aspects: two veiled, masked, with big cloak, even colors in left version colors are similar to used by Dragnoz.
Another inspiration was Geralt Of Rivia - The Witcher, hero of novels by Polish Fantasy writer Andrzej Sapkowski (vide also cRPG game "The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings".
FYI:
Witchers are not "regular" assassins but extremely efficient monster-hunters!
They whole life is about protecting humankind and chasing mutated beasts and creatures from past ages or other dimensions, fighting against mad-mages with they dark-sorcery experiments etc.
Witchers are natural born killers who possessed special skills. They are raised in hidden mountain camps where they are spending time on endless trainings and learning beast habits and weak points.
Which is important - they are using both mundane weapons like blades and magic (vide first figure equipped with wand).
OK, wand is just my imagination, cause in book and game Witchers doesn't use any wand but special amulets, potions and... magic shouts (something like shout/scream in Skyrim).
Well, as this is still "under construction" version, so at least some things could be changed (ie long hairs will probably be on back side... and perhaps I should shave him?), definitely more textures, shadows and/or color changes should be applied.
Note curved sword (kinda jatagan) - it should be replaced by normal/straight sword as figures knee in background looks bad - although part of this issue might be also caused by wrong gradients I suppose).
Thief
Here is another one draft (basic inked version is almost finished, but still no color):
This one also isn't typical street-fighter/killer/murderer - this is thief (if he reminds you famous thief Garret - you are very close!).
As a thief - this figure is armed with knife and dagger, well masked and generally in-hide. I should add at later stage some bag/sack attached to his belt and perhaps rope around his torso - typical thieves "accessories".
As a thief he is not armored, note also different amulets and belt.
Perhaps I should add some other changes just to differentiate thief even more from witcher (maybe these leather things on hands or differently shaped tunic...)?
=>Oh... and do not worry please - not forgotten and not by mistake - even if you can see ungrounded Thief, in final version these figures will be of course grounded!
I'm planning to submit assassin figure for the CW-Forum users, but first let me ask couple simple questions:
A) which figure would you prefer: Witcher or Thief?
B) which equipment/armor would you prefer for Witcher: "classic" assassins knives or sword / wand combo?
C) which color scheme would you prefer?
D) any other ideas, suggestions (Parduzing welcomed!
Thanks for your time,
Cheers!
PS #1:
Would it be good idea - standalone "assassins and thieves" set?
And if so - what should be in your opinion most useful and typical RPG poses/characters?
PS #2:
Almost forgot - Stay tuned - new "Dark Duocorns" set should be available soon!
