First sample of Army Cards for the "Warriors of Legend" fantasy wargame rules special designed for the Cardboard Warriors found on this Site. The rulebook will be finished at the end of the summer (i.e. September) It will contain rules, Army Cards and special rules for a Basic Orc Army and Dwarves. There will be various counters and of course a Quick Rules Summary. More special rules and Army Cards will be added as and when the range of miniatures expands. Harry Attachments:

Nice stuff. The cards are lookin' pretty good. I see a typo or two, but I'm sure you'll work out those issues as you go along. One suggestion I would give (constructively) is to make the text a bit smaller or reduce the amount of text used, so it appears a bit less crowded, and there is some spacing between elements. That's just my two cents from a design point of view. Can't wait to see more, and give the game a try when it's ready. The cannon and crew are well under way. They might make a good addition to the army.

Thanks for the comments. Much appreciated. English not being my native language, typo's or just simple errors, will remain a problem. The cards are quite wordy because I want them to contain all the rules and info pertinent to them Will think about rephrasing though

Hey HK,
I have a couple questions...
1) Did you draw these Dwarves yourself? They look good.
2) I am NOT a fan of Dwarves (at all), but after Ken did his, and then Labrat, and now Mesper, I have to say the little fellas are really winning me over.
IF you would like, you can send me an email with ANY and ALL text you are wanting to have checked. (Eventhough I have an error here or there on my posts, I am VERY meticulous on my projects).
I would be more than happy to proof-read or help out in any way. I have done this for some publishers already. Proof-reading, beta-testing, whatever, I am your guy.
That is IF you are willing. If not, just thought I would offer.
I realize that there are MANY people here that don't speak English as their primary language, and I would hate to see such great looking cards have errors (even minor ones).
My email is to the left here... just drop something in the subject line that says "hobbeskind," "Warriors of Legend" or dwarf cards, whatever. If I don't have something in the subject line, I think it is SPAM and trash it without reading it.
Hope it helps,
David

Thank you very much for your offer David. I will gladly accept. Right now I am following Labrat's advice and try to rephrase some of the texts. This by the way is a work of love, I simply needed these rules yet nobody had what I wanted, so what is a guy to do No, I did not draw any of the figures 'cause the rules are geared especially towards the minis on the Cardboard Models website. The idea was to come up with an exciting game (don't we all) that had the right atmosphere and a lot of options without the need to keep checking rule books and tables. So I wrote a "Core Rule Book" with the basic general rules and their arguments. Followed that by "Army Books" that only contain rules specific for a particular army. Then I designed the Army Cards for the type of soldiers (Archers, Pikemen etc) and individuals, (Heroes, Wizards, Battle Leader). These cards contain info and rules specific for these figures. So when you recruit an army you choose your Army Cards, then fill your movement trays with the right minis and during play you only have to refer to the cards to see what they can or can not do. And how they do it. We now are play-testing Orcs and Dwarves because they are (as of now) the simplest armies available. Work however is progressing slowly because of my son's marriage last week which kept him away from the gaming table and since he is also MaddGame, the guy that makes these nice animations: www.indiegogo.com/bushido?c=activitywww.youtube.com/watch?v=2d8IpT3qbmM&feature=player_embeddedhe is somewhat in demand. I myself am a bit busy too because of our Toy Theatre work, www.vischmarktpapierentheater.nlbut I promised myself that the rules and at least the Orcs, Dwarves and Undead should be finished by september.
