Hello Cardboard Warriors,
inspired by kiladecus' love for the Undead and afet's definition of NPC, I've worked on this deadly vicious LICH CLERIC. Maybe his red rotten robe is a bit dark, but I imagine him scheming plots in dim catacombs ... ;D

Red, dark, old and starting to rot ... I think the color is 'dead on'
I like it

...inspired by kiladecus' love for the Undead I didn't know kiladecus was into that. That figure is really great Paladin. I hope you have time to post more.

I am really happy that you like it, thank you, verminking and Tommygun ! I always tend to end in a more high-detailed, painterly style (this takes time), but I also enjoy the more clear (eye-friendly) "vector"-style of Reivaj and Sirrob. Reivaj's Mantid Warriors are already looking awesome without any further shading tricks. ...inspired by kiladecus' love for the Undead I didn't know kiladecus was into that. I think I exaggerated, but looking at kiladecus' avatar, who knows ... ;D Yes, Tommygun, I want to do some more miniature stuff. Monthly Hoard is a good practice (God bless the founding father Jim Hartman !). I will show my work of the last months very soon (Ruin Tile Set). I am fascinated by the possibilities of gfx software and copyshop printers to enhance roleplaying (or wargaming). I am watching you guys for some time now ;D. Great times.

Hi Reivaj ! I hope you're refreshed to shade/color your flashy Mantids. They will be fine. I've seen your (huge)"Tiamat"-Mini today somewhere, so I've no doubt . Hehe, I am glad you like my boss undead too ... contributing 1 mini per month should be realistic, though the themes are quite different. You could start thinking about tri-legged alien go-go-girls, drunken asteroid miners or starbase ground personal personnel, Reivaj ... ;D

Parduz - Thanks for the feedback much appreciated, I've adjusted the pants to more red and blue respectively and darkened the cape.
Paladin - liking the Lich Cleric,
Reivaj - wb any idea's if you'll get one done for the hoard?
Anyone with last minute submissions get them on this board ASAP. ;D

Hello Sirrob, I like your humorous style too. Please, don't be too strict with Reivaj. Give him time to finish his bug characters. I know, that Jim had set up a deadline rule for monthly hoard, but there could be a leeway. We're not dozens of contributers (sadly ), so no need for mass organisation principles ;D. EDIT: one question, Sirrob: my Lich is 300 dpi PNG. I scaled him using Jim Hartman's 30 mm Fantasy Sketch Template. The "labels" under its feet are pure fantasy in regard to any mini-base-scales. Can you work with it as it is, or do I have to change something ?

Cool. My first mini in the hoard. But of course, the Lich is still much too dark. I think, I have a problem in my toolchain: old samsung 750p, which I tried to gamma-correct a while ago, cause prints were also much too dark. I have now a custom monitor profile I use with GIMP. But still those problems. I think, the PNG-Lich on the Hoard thread is lighter on my monitor, isn't he !? How do you guys see him on your monitors ? Lighter ? Darker ? Thanks for your efforts, Sirrob. Hmh. Comparing the lich with your and Reivaj's excellent work, I have to think about parduz' argument of more-fitting-in style choice.

LOL. Thank you, Reivaj for your encouragement. I will try to submit something to Wild West (interesting topic). I want to work in YOUR shaman style. Much simpler and clearer. I have to try this. Also your method of collecting a database of parts and face expressions as vectors is interesting for series of minis.
