Totally great work! I'm so glad the world still has artists, with out you we would surely be a bunch of boring non-inspired individuals!

Wow. I am constantly impressed by the number of true artists around here, and just wish I were one.

I did these several months ago, but never posted them, as I wasn't happy with them. They are about half photoshoped from a real photo and half drawn in Gimp. After touching them up a bit more they are OK now. I can include these in this month hoard if you guys want them. Lab Techs Gone Wild

Tommygun, expect a visit from armed Umbrella Corporation lawyers looking for the negatives of the pictures you took in Raccoon City.

How's the mechanic going?
I was really hoping that people would have come up with more along the lines of 'potential victims' or the doctors, nurses, etc. that were mentioned several times on the site. Mechanics and Techies are good, though.
I sure would have liked to have seen the tentacled old lady on the scooter, though ... sigh

Hello, back again hackbarth, great set you've done ! This will do in a wide array of situations ... . Tommygun, oh la la ;D. This mechanic should take a shower after repairing her hyperdrive. I would hold her tool in the meantime ... . Well done sexy mini ! Those scientists in virus activity mode are quite surreal and horrific. Oversized heads like in a MTV show (not for kids). I like that. Vermin King, there is still time left . But I cannot promise ... I've finished my Holografic Table Dancer (11 h of worktime : and will post her very soon.

The girl needs a lot of work. It really is just an early WIP shot. Half the lab workers are uninfected, but it's just one pose. I will try and add some individuality to them.

I think I'm done? If you see any mistakes let me know. I'll submit her in 3 or 4 days with the techs and I may have a second female civilian in a dress. I have to tweak the backs on the techs and add some numbers to them. Well be gentle with her...she has a big wrench after all.

Tommygun, i like that figure. But, i think, it could benefit of some tweak
1) The big black cutting line is over the left bobb. That line should be curved there, or (if the two contour -the arm and the chest- overlaps it should not cover what stay in front. I see from your previous "preview" that it was the case: the bobb line is just "tangent" to the arm contour... i'd add a bit of curve (just a tiny bit) to overlap the arm and redraw the big line taking care of it... this should solve that "false impression" i got at a first glance.
2) You used two "contour" method: the white shirt have black line borders, while (from the back view) the arm, the hairs and the pants line borders are of the same "tone" of the filling color. Colored border line are a choice of style but then your white shirt should have a light grey line.... for minis i'd like more all black lines, anywyay: this add depht to the (small) figure and playing with the line thickness you can enhance separation between front and background objects.

Oh yes. I'll touch up the front of the shirt with some white. My black outlining I try to use minimally. I usually try and use it between two similar colors.

Here is the other one I'm trying to get done. I had to out line her in white then black, because of her clothing colors. I'm having a hard time with proportions on these guys. She is 30mm tall from eyes to bottom of her Manolo Blahnik shoes. Even after making them wider on the arms and legs they still look very skinny next to the Heroic scale Terraforce figures. What's a skinny girl to do? She getting Body dimorphic disorder.

eheheh, funny to see this design process It is a nice figure, anyway. About proportion: Jim said that minis, to look good AND being effective (distinguishable -is this a word?- on the battlefield) are way out of proportion... they have to "trick" the eyes. So, about your female, i'd scale it in separate "chunks": the head and the hands could be proportionally scaled to a (quesstimate) 120%, the legs horizontally scaled to enlearge them (cough!) and only then maybe streching the whole figure to make it look good at a side of that marine. I'd like a version with exposed arm and legs, also (to have she a bit less "alien-like").

Wow... Ok first of all Tommy, those figures are great. Kinda reminds me of "The Fifth Element". I loved that movie. Love those Figures. One little thing, cuz I notice this kinda thing.... the mechanic needs her lower back tat shaded, it looks stuck on and slightly off center.
I really like the holo-dancer Mr Paladin... but... umm, she looks like she has a hella bunch of booty crack. It might go just a little far up. I'm gonna have to stare... err study it for a bit.
Small stuff.. still awesome though.

revgunn, yes, you're right. I actually placed two balls next to each other. Crack-contrast is very high, cause I've worked in B/W. I wanted her to bend a bit forward, pushing out her booty (her hair on the back should follow the flow too ). Therefore her upper body is shortened and you should see more of the underside of the booty, so more crack. Don't know, if this is convincing The digital anomalies (GIMP's "video" filter !) also give the impression that she wears nothing when looking at her frontside. That's unintentional . Anyway, blame the defect unit's chip for all faults ;D. Tommygun, can't help me, but I like the first version of the manga cutie better, I mean: her lighter skin tone and her face. A bit too much of orange (or radiation burn ;D) in the second version . Your second (proud) female is . Egyptian. Her face looks like Nina Hagen, famous punk/rock singer here in Germany. If we were not into "civilians" this month I would want to see her with a katana or vibroblade ;D.

I got everything in and I was able to clean things up and change a few items. I didn't have the time to make major changes.
On a side note I did get a request for some of my spacemen to be done in zero-G and on a flight stand. I have been meaning to do these for several months and I hope to have them in soonish. They will also be in 2.5D style.

I didn't have the time to make major changes. Me too. My dancer would not be much better without changing her pose. So please forgive Miss Vox's flexible spine and bootymania . @sirrob, my pic is 300dpi PNG. Copy and paste .

I think it might be good to reiterate the HOARD guidelines: "Please, no nudity, graphic violence(gore is fine), or sexually suggestive stuff. Please submit stuff you will be proud to display yourself, and be kid friendly." Sorry guys but I'm not gonna put a pole dancer up on the site (even one that's 'covered up' and holographic). Maybe you can offer a devaintART link or something.

Holovisual Projection Unit STARRIDER HPU-6 It can display remote life performance (miles away) in nearly realtime or replay any readymade data. Limited audio feedback. This unit is somewhat mistreated, but still a workhorse. A frustrated customer shot it with a blaster, because response time of data was slow. The unit shows performance data of Miss Mansatha Vox, popular dancer in the entertainment districts of this prison planet. [ DELETE DATA ] I can imagine sexually more suggestive stuff than a 30 mm dancer holding an invisible pole, though I am not very proud of Miss Vox's broken spine. I should have tried the old alien shopper lady instead ;D, chosen a more symbolic approach like Tommygun (big wrench) or a blood-sucking/spitting alien (it's kid friendly ).

So is holo-gal available by email?
