So, I wanted a bat swarm figure for my Sellswords of Punjar game - they figure prominently in the scenario: Even though the swarm technically only takes up 1" square, it has an aura that extends one square in every direction (which allows it to attack all adjacent creatures every turn!) I wanted a figure that took advantage of the fact that bats fly, but I couldn't find any paper figures that did this. I'm thinking that this is exactly the kind of thing Eddnic makes... Anyway I had a handful of small bat figures I picked up at a toy store a few weeks ago so I got some more supplies and build my own: Here's a high-contrast background so you can see the construction: Here's the materials: Distance shot: Here's what it looks like with figures adjacent and within the attack "aura": There are more construction and other pics at s1099.photobucket.com/albums/g393/frandallfarmer/Punjar/

Now - if this inspired anyone to design a 2.5d paper-model, I'd build cutfiles for it in a second! I'd do it, but I can't draw a bat top - or bottom.

That's pretty cool. In my case that won't work, because the bats are on the roof. I did make my own swarm from the One Monk ones ( see the new photo at photobucket.com/diorama2012 ) Randy

To help the next viewers of your photobucket, you might want to put a space between the link and the end parenthesis ...
and as is often the case, photobucket locked up on me ... razzum frazzum
