So, about a year ago I was in this community theatre play, Treasure Island. (The play turned out pretty good...even though I sucked...) For our posting board I did a little figure icon for every cast member (because rehearsals were often pretty boring and I had a bit of time to sketch). I thought they might make decent mini's, so I'll post the artwork here, and (slowly) get around to putting backs on them. Points to anyone who can name all the main characters, and bonus points for anyone who guesses which one is me.... Those look great.
I don't remember a female pirate in the book, though

Comuuninity theatre....Jim Hawkins was a girl (played as a boy though...very well done). And blind pew was a girl (not me)...excellent as well.
Hard to find men willing to make fools of themselves...I only audittioned because the wife dared me to....

In Shakespearean theater, women were played by men. Today, men and boys are played by women.
Not sure what that means ...

Here are a few guesses off the top of my head: 1st character, top-left - Billy Bones; 2nd character, top-left - the Dread Pirate Roberts; 3rd character, top-left - Blind Pew; last character on right, top row, Anne Bonney; 1st character to left, middle row, Mary Reade; 3rd from left, middle row, Ben Gunn; 4th from left, middle row, Israel Hand; 4th from right, middle row, Mr. Smee; 3rd from right, middle row, Yellowbeard; 2nd from right, middle row, George Merry; far right, middle row, Long John Silver "Barbyque"; far left, bottom row, Tom; 2nd from left, bottom row, Gray; 3rd from left, bottom row, blue coat with yellow piping, Captain Smollett; short with green coat, Squire Trelawney; tall with purple coat, Dr. Livesay; the serving woman, Mrs. Hawkins; the boy , young Jim Hawkins, smart as paint.
Who the gentleman on the far right of the bottom row is, I daren't guess. He looks like a narrator... perhaps young Jim Hawkins when he's old.
Have fun! Steve

Smart as paint, Steve! Mostly right. Here's the key: Top Row:Billy Bones, Black Dog, Blind Pew, Job O'Brien, George Merry, Jemmy Rathbone, Tall Female Pirate, Flora Burns. Middle Row: Ann Bonney, Mary Reade, Ben Gunn, Israel Hands, Justice Deathe, Captain Flint, Calico Jack, Long John Silver. Bottom Row: Sailor, Sailor, Captian Smollett, Squire Trelawney, Dr. Livesy, Mrs. Hawkins, Jim Hawkins, Admiral James Hawkins (narrator).
The ranks of nameless pirates were obviously padded with a few ringers....but other than that it was a fairly close adaptation of the book. And we used real swords!

I dunno. But if someone calls you a space cowboy, that's what you tell them.

What an AMAZING gift you have, and I love that you share it with us!
My guess is the pirate that was "YOU" is the bottom row, third from the left!
Am I right?

Nope. "Me" is the tall guy with the long blue vest (waistcoat) and the red hat and red stripey pants. Yes the beard is grey......

I apologize for resurrecting long dead threads, but these are awesome. I have been overdosing on "Black Sails" for the past month or so, and these Treasure Island flats are ship shape and Bristol fashion! Now I just need to find some undead pirate skills, and I'm away!
