A Freudian slip? I bought this set yesterday. It's very similar to WWG's Western/desert mesas, but despite there being no cutfiles, I like Zsezse's better--the multiple skins are a huge bonus, but otherwise they look to be a little easier to assemble. I've had a heck of a time with WWG's hills. Not to mention it's cheaper.

Doh! Left over in my cut/paste buffer from the other post (where I mention both sets...) Thanks for the fix!

...despite there being no cutfiles, I like Zsezse's better-- I'm sure we know someone who can remedy that ye olde " Master of the Cut Files" ;D

Nice builds, vwilliams. You've inspired me to pick up this set and add some of these piece to what I've already built for my next snowy encounter in my current adventure: Halls of the Mountain King.

Afet, although these pieces are multifaceted, they are actually pretty easy to build. They are open on the bottom, which I didn't like, so I put a piece of foam core in the bottom of my pieces. This gives them a little weight and makes them a little more bump proof.
By the way, I forgot on which forum you recommended to me the thread on the Hall's adventure but thanks for the recommendation. I have taken a few ideas from it and will incorporate them into my preparation for this adventure.

I have taken a few ideas from it and will incorporate them into my preparation for this adventure. I've purchased and built one of these last night. You're right they're not hard to build, just a bit time consuming. I too put a piece of foam core in the bottom. I found the upper levels to be a bit "squishy", so I put in foam core supports under the top level. While the option to stack the pieces may be appealing, they're not really strong enough as is to support metal minis without sagging. For anyone who might be interested, here is the thread about Halls of the Mountain King adventure at the Kobold Press forum: koboldquarterly.com/KQForums/viewforum.php?f=9
