Hello, everybody! I glad to show you mi new work: first mini set of "Iron age" It's here: Why is it the "Test" set? So, my printer is broken is crashed (really, with smoke and fire ) and I wasn't able to print this exoskeleton and to get rid of any mistakes. And I need your help with testing of this machine! If everything is alright, full set will be released soon! (Special gift for "helper" - mech of another corp. with weapon, of course ) Thanks you for attention!

Did anyone pick this up to test? I think I'll use it as another test of my cutter's health...
It's out of my usual subject area, but, whatever. :-)

The slots on the torso are not the same size on the front and the back. I don't think that's right. I think the problem is on the front arms. I'm going to try the larger size (from the back)
Also the Leg fronts and Backs aren't the same size (when I mirror the cutlines from top to bottom, the don't align properly/match. When I release the cutfile in a few minutes you can see the variation for yourself.

I had no idea how to mount the backpack, so I glued it on to match the shading and to allow some of it to show through to the front. Tiny slots are a very, very unstable mounting system. The figure spent more time prone than standing. Again - I don't know anything about how people mount this sort of figure - so YMMV.

Oldschooldm, you did really big job, thank you! Ok, I have got rid of it. Oh, mine, I forgot to flip it (Bad guy inside me: Alex, if you work so careless, I'll cut your arms off!) Ok, I'll try to fix it. I'm sorry again, that's all my mistakes! So, 2.5D robots are my weak point. Oldschooldm, thank you for testing. I'll make something tor you soon. But, as I've got, to present another bot isn't a good idea. May be you want something especial?

I was happy to do the test for you. If you ever do a fantasy figure or set, I'd be happy to receive a copy, but this is not required in any way. This community has already given so much to me - I just like helping out. Oops! I originally forgot the cutfile link above for anyone who wants to play with this... dl.dropbox.com/u/3838990/Power%20Armor.studio

I like the direction you're going here. I might can help with the slots. I've learned from building Mech Attack figs that if you cut the slots in the shape of a very deep "V" instead of a deep rectangle then when you push the pieces together they tend to lock onto each other.
As for the torso... maybe use a glue-on polygon/pyramid shape to give the front of the torso more depth? The 3D shape would form the chest and "cockpit"...
