THANKS!!!
While we're here: i've some difficult to understand the scale of some models. There's images of Ebbels models with a well known miniature (say, space marine) set aside, for size comparison?

You're welcome, guys. Parduz: All of my 1:60 scale stuff is scaled to look good with 28-32mm figures, and my scale reference figures were a mix of GW and other manufacturers. The 1:100 stuff is scaled to look good with 15mm figures, and I used GZG models as scale reference for them. I have some links to customer-submitted photos. Chez Ebbles lounge gallery: chez-ebbles-lounge.1048598.n5.nabble.com/Build-Photos-f4377178.htmlGenet Models customer gallery: forum.genetmodels.com/Model-Showcase-f4.htmlSome of them have figures in the frame and might be useful.

aleks73 I do believe that is the original Crotale iiic. It was never a commercial model, but one that Chris did for himself for fun. He gaveit away via 'Mel's toybox' on the od site. You got to unlock the box by submitting build photos etc and other participation on the old forum. It was kind of a reward/thankyou from chris.

Thanks so much for the model.... I lost my hard disk a few weeks back and all my models with it. (except all the Ebbles historic models on your disk I bought a while back). So thanks for this free re-start of my model collection.
Happy Holidays to you and again THANKS!

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the gift! Aleks: That's the old Crotale IIIc, which was a little less detailed and had a different color scheme. I scaled it up to gaming size, updated it with proper intakes and thrusters, and re-textured it to match the other Sixteen Hour War models. It would have looked weird and out of place if I had kept the old scheme. Hackbarth: Thanks! I get a big kick out of seeing other people's builds. cabo: If you lost any of your more recent purchases along with the emails, I can re-send the links. Contact me at support@genetmodels.com and we'll get it taken care of.

Thank you for the gift! I don't have a lot of call for SF models, but yours are definitely among the best I've seen out there.
Thanks again,
- Pb

pblade: Thanks for the praise, and you're welcome! cabo: Wasn't a problem at all--I built 2 buttons into the project management backend that lets me re-ship files to supporters individually or all at once, so it didn't take me long to re-send all of your lost files from the projects you supported at Chez Ebbles. Let me know if you didn't receive the emails.

Ouch. That's gotta hurt. Have you looked into data recovery services? It might be an option if the data is sufficiently valuable to you.

If what is died is the electronics, and not the mechanics, you could also try to find an EXACT SAME model of your HD and mount the working circuitry on the old disk (usually it's a matter of some screws, modern disk have "touching" contact that goes inside, not soldered flat cables)

Ouch. That's gotta hurt. Have you looked into data recovery services? It might be an option if the data is sufficiently valuable to you. Thanks for the suggestion. My son-in-law is looking into potential recovery techniques for me. He works in the computer world so hopeful he will be able to have some success. It is not the first failed hard drive he has worked on and he has always been able to get something back. So right now my role is one of incantation to the spirits of hard disk past.

I'll try that the next time I run into a nonfunctional hard drive.
