Welcome to the site michaelnewbanks!! I love your minis - very characterful. As I'm not a huge fan of "profile" paper figs, it was nice to see some face-on ones in your Wizards and Warriors of the Frozen City set. Any chance we are going to see you start doing backs for them too.....? (He asked, hopefully!!!)

Hello michaelnewbanks , feel as at your own home (but do not take the socks off). To clarify...you can take your socks off, but don't try to take anyone else's socks off. (You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but...) At any rate, welcome aboard, Michael and all the new members!

Hey, all. I've spent the last two years compiling a lot of crap for the purpose of introducing my eleven-year-old daughter to D&D. To that end, I've acquired several hundred miniatures and taught myself to paint. I've bought a lot of dungeons off Kickstarter. I also spend a few months casting and painting Hirst Arts molds, but that ultimately proved to be too much work. So, yesterday, I bought an inkjet printer and a color cartridge and I plan to try my hand at printing off 3D paper terrain including castles, dungeons, towers, and ruins that she can explore. This seems like a much cheaper, less time-consuming path forward, so I'll likely be asking a lot of questions to get better at my craft. I'm still in the process of painting my Zombicide: Black Plague figures that I'll also use as D&D minis. Expect me to ask questions here from time to time. Thanks in advance. Attachments:

This seems like a much cheaper, less time-consuming path forward... Great screen name, btw. It took me a few minutes to figure out that it's "Genghis Sean" (sounds like "Shawn", rhymes with...you get it now?), and not "Genghissian", but the moment I got it, I had to salute your cleverness. Well done! As for papercraft vs. 3D figures...It probably is cheaper, especially if you find a source for reliable after-market ink cartridges (check Amazon for the right cartridges for your particular printer, but read the reviews carefully--some brands are great, and others are completely unreliable). For a while, I was refilling HP cartridges at my local Costco, which cut the price by about 50% and was very reliable, but off-brand cartridges through Amazon can be much cheaper than that, even. About it taking less time...well...less time than Hirst Arts, probably. Still, you can sink a LOT of hours into this hobby, especially if you are fussy about build quality. Even so, it's very therapeutic, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it for a long time to come. Welcome aboard! BTW, that painted dwarf mini looks great!

Welcome to the forum. There's a lot available here and through our publisher friends.
Use the Search function for keywords like 'West', 'New Mexico', 'California', 'Mine' or 'Mining', etc.
Is there anything specifically that you are looking for?

Hiya, I'm Garrett, and I backed the Cardstock Warriors Kickstarter with the intent of using the Dwarf models to fill out my Kings of War army.
