Really a good choice, this re-released! So ( hoping not to disturb )I would tell a little story about this beutiflul set ( good paper minis are good forever ). 1 - In 2007 ( about, I think) there was the first version of this set ( all caucasian soldiers ) 2 - after a while there has been a revision, a second version ( There are a few small differences in the page layout but I can't see any difference between figures ) 3 - In 2008, Jim published a third version ( the first, and to date that definitive, with multiracial figures ) 4 - In 2009 Ebbles produces a camouflage version set for his GunCrawl game 5 - And then, probably, in 2010 Floyd offers a different camouflage version ( it is contained in GunCrawl ) 6 - Sirrob offers the best mod-set for these figures ( three skin tones, two different weapons, an officer's version with helmet and and fourteen uniform's colors. I don't know why in the set the kneeling soldier with the rocket launcher there is not ). 7 - The latest Sanity Studios version ( it is the third Onemonk's version ) 8 - after the "official" versions there are at least two other mods that must be mentioned here, imho. The Drop Forces ( unfortunately I don't know who to give credit for this mod ) 9 - Ok this is another "mod" set ( They are Terraforce Auxiliary ) but it can not be missing here. Tiago Hackbarth's Terraforce space troopers are perfect for a boarding space assault. 10 - last but not least the Ebbles' Terraforce possessed ( from GunCrawl game ) There are also other excellent mods in the forum. I remember a commander with two guns inside hoard 24 or the Floyd's figures in gray color variation , and also two snipers with camouflage netting ... But only a great set can afford so many editions, variants and mods. Imho this re-released is a perfect opportunity for everyone.

There's also a SWAT-like mod in the forum, with "2.5d" shields.
I miss the Sirrob and the possesed mods. Where to get them?

Sirrob's mod was released in the previous Sanity Studios Terraforce basic Soldiers version. I donìt know if Squirmidad will release it in the future ( for now it is not present with the last re-release ). But why not? The possesed are in the latest GunCrawl version. Ciao

I love Hackbarth's Space Troops! The Sirrob01 mod will be added to the OBS Basic Troopers files soon. I was waiting to hear back from Sirrob01 to make sure I had his permission to re-post his mod.
I'd never seen the Possessed versions! Cool! Or maybe I just forgot...either way, if they're in Guncrawl then they just went live again over at MelEbbles Genet Models site.

Hi Eric, I have a problem with the new download. When it showed to me, in my RPGNow library page ( news updates ) the file was about 32 MB ( with Sirrob mod ) but but when I download it is only 4.9 MB ( there is only Mayhem in Paper terraforse basic soldiers ). after the first time RPGNow no longer see it as a new file in my library but I can always download it. But he always download the same 4.9 MB file.
It is probably a my RPGNow account's fault ( so I have to contact RPGNow support ), but I say this to you if there could be a wrong link.
Ciao

Floyd's mods are also in the package. Specifically here www.genetmodels.com/media/files/ebbles_terraforce_mods.zip

I just re-downloaded Onemonk's ( now it is by Mayhem In Paper ) "GUNCRAWL: Terra Forceâ„¢: Bug Hunt BUNDLE", it is the second GunCrawl version, but the "possessed" file is not there. When I wrote my post I found this sheet in my GunCrawl folder. I saw the Ebbles logo above and then I thought that it was into the zip-file that I had bought a few years ago. Sometimes the memory plays tricks. Excuse me. @sqirmydad: Thanks!. Now I ask to RPGNow support service.

Where can I get the second Guncrawl version? How different is it? is it worth getting? I am sorry. I don't want to create a misunderstanding. I call Onemonk's version ( There are Onemonk's figures, Flyod and Ebbles' mods and Ebbles' rules ) second version. But "GUNCRAWL: Terra Forceâ„¢: Bug Hunt BUNDLE" contains only paper minis. Nine files. Terra Force special weapons, Terra Force basic soldiers and hybrid stalkers ( 3xFloyd, 3xEbbles and 3xuncolored ). This is the cover: I have it in my RPGNow library but it is no longer for sale ( ayou can find them, and more, there are Terra Force auxiliaries too, following your previous link ) I consider first version ( but the correct English term is edition ) the original Ebbles game figures: these. I don't know if there is a second edition rules, but I don't think so.

Thanks for the clarification Rhannon, although I have seen mention in a few places of a beta playtest second edition of Guncrawl (I have made a pretty thorough sweep of the internet for Guncrawl stuff). I have most of the figure sets now and am all set (once I get some free time) to get printing and cutting.

Hmm, if I remember the discussion from two years ago correctly MelEbbles has creator rights to that packet so it would be up to him to release them.
Rhannon: Glad that's working now.

(I tried to export the heavy weapons one but the PDF are still made of stripes) I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing the stripes. I open the files in Acrobat, Acrobat Reader, and Photoshop and they look and print just fine. Where and when are you seeing stripes?

This is what i get with the Object selection tool in Acrobat: Importing the PDF in Corel Draw gives me the same result, and exporting the image result in a low-res, 72dpi image no matter what i set in the Exporting setting. I still have to print them so i don't know how they look in the final form (and the ability to modify the PDF was no granted and no part of the deal ) Almost all the OneMonk sets was built this way. I blame the PDF producer software, but perhaps it is just a matter of settings. The ones updated by Sanity Studio are OK, though. - EDIT - I tried the "Optimize PDF" option in Acrobat. It says the current document is made for Acrobat 3.0, i save it for Acrobat 9 with almost all optimization checked (i just unchecked the image downsampling). The resulting PDF is 1/3 bigger than the orginal, but the whole page is a single image and the "Export all images" process results in a nice 300dpi image. I dont know how this process affect the images (i mean, is it better to have the right PDF from the original drawing or this optimization process does not have any drawback?) Hope this gives you more clues.

I think with Squirmydads permission, I'll provide files of the raw vector figure parts again. This will make modding much easier, but they will be uncolred done this way. I figure if I save for Illustrator, Corel Draw and Inkscape file formats that should cover everyone.
Once I get back into design shape, I have some ideas for more troops types, and maybe an updated master figure set of troopers. JIM

Squirmydad tell me. How are you doing the same soldiers (formation) in different positions? Actually, all of these figures were created by One Monk. He can speak in more detail as to his methods but the basics of it involve creating the figures in parts and then mixing, matching, and repositioning to create a variety of figures. Here's a parts sheet from the Basic Troops files; There is more detailed info about the process in the Design Aids section of the forum.

Squirmydad but tell me if this character was drawn in its entirety and then "segmented"? Is immediately drawn in a single part of the body?

I can answer that. The figure is drawn in parts like you see. Sometimes it's much easier to do figures this way, especially if your not the best artist. If you can just work on parts and get them right, the whole thing fits together.
I plan on doing all my figure production figure sets like this. Even more so, working on a master model pose set for males and females to build on top of. JIM

Onemonk tell me what size are your sketches ?? Thank you. I also saw other techniques such as in this thread. So I was wondering which is better.
