I'm late for Halloween Hoard, but here's what I'm currently working on - classic Pumpkin Man! In fact it's quick mock-up: Vampire Lord + Pumpkin:) I'm working on couple more versions - with "beard", perhaps with some hat and "ground" pumpkin, so it cold be more than 1 figurine, mini-set perhaps? BTW any ideas regarding color schemes? Would you like more colourful or rather more unified colours (shirt, cloak etc. but pumpkin should stay "pumpkin")? Stay tuned!

I LOVE IT! Halloween (& its sister festivals Samhain and El Día de los Muertos) is my favourite holiday (though it has some competition from Christmas, and International Talk Like a Pirate Day), and my favourite colours are Orange, Purple, and Green (the specific order changes with the season). Strangely enough, it took until well into art school* to realize that those were all the secondary colours... something I should have realized in kindergarten... Long story short, purple and green coordinate perfectly with the pumpkinmen and the brown cloak and straw look great too. Now, I don't suppose you'd like to do a large pumpkinhead with a mess of vine tentacles, ready to attack? Save me the trouble of stocking my corn maze... *I say art school, but is really the College of Craft and Design, and while I can weave nearly anything, shape and solder silver, set stones, throw a pot, take a decent photograph, I cannot draw. to save my life. I like to call it "page fright"

OK here's another one pumpkin preview: "earthen or grounded" - not sure what should be name...? (BTW: Pumpkinman -- like Spiderman etc. right?)
Now Pumpkin Farm/Field or even Pumpkin Ambush (?!?) could be possible... ...Now, I don't suppose you'd like to do a large pumpkinhead with a mess of vine tentacles, ready to attack?... Hmm... mess of wine tentacles - you mean big pumpkin (like above "grounded" one) but with (many and long/big) additional tentacles

Another one Pumpkinman - or rather whole pack of pumpkinmen... Note different "heads". Hat is optional, so probably there will be some colour versions as additional accessories. And of course he is equipped with bag (Pumpkin adventurer? Not sure although if this short sword fit, but maybe he's Pumpkin Warrior-Monk?

Hi Mesper! Love the adventurous options too! I was just showing my older son, and he likes the "purple one" best, the "witch" one, which he says looks very "murderful" (because of the sword). I played it up as an adventurer, a wizard, and we thought that it would summon/cast fiery pumpkin balls at his enemies The fiery pumpkin heads would be soft on the inside, so they would splat on impact, also blinding the enemy! An ice-rimed pumpkin would cast an icy pumpkin that would freeze his enemy. You've acquired a new fan

At the bottom I've included a couple of pics to show you what was inspiring me. Alas, it'd take me to Christmas to draw one I'd be satisfied with myself... He's set to be the centrepiece for a corn-maze I'll be running at least my son, and probably my friends through before the month is out. I'd been thinking of using either my HeroClix scarecrow models as minions, or swarms of mini pumpkins/pumpkin-imps, or animated jack-o-lanterns like your own pumpkinmen. But yours are so friendly-looking, I think I'll use them as NPCs pumpkin monstersshape for tentactlesidea for swarm

Tentacles, tentacles... and a large creature, hmm... Well, as you wish, s omething like this one perhaps (with new, not-so-friendly this time, face) Let me introduce famous Infamous Pumpkin Ambusher (or Stinger?) Although I like the lower/bigger one more - as more dynamic (LOL... dynamic pumpkin?!? and kinda emerging from grass, then the upper one would be most probably included into the set (as less "grassy" so outline will be much more compact and in overall easier to cut-out) IDEA: I think that it would be nice to have also 2.5D version - the head (pumpkin) could be kinda sustained/based on tentacles, so end user could be able to shape / bend tentacles...

I love the Pumpkin Ambusher. I think you should do the 2.5 version. The tentacles will look great and hold their pose if they are creased down the middle and folded into an inverted v.

Also worth thinking about having some 2.5D tentacles separate so they can be used for mods - or even something bursting forth from the ground. I can see these will be a nightmare to hand-cut though... Which is perhaps appropriate

They look fantastic! I really like the look of the vine ends/stingers - they look like spear or harpoon tips, dealing high damage on the way in, and worse on the way out (very dangerous to extract!). Far more creative than what I was coming up with, and more deadly! I had just been thinking about 2.5D effects for the tentacle vines myself, when I came to see your awesome update. There's a 2.5D giant spider in one of the hoards, I think with Reivaj's own pumpkin man, that I've been meaning to do up for fun. I'll have to take another look at it later today. *** Apologies - this was meant to be posted HOURS ago, but I seem to have fallen into the bad habit of typing a quick reply, but hitting "Reply" instead of "Post Reply", and tabbing away thinking it's done. Using "quick reply" is relatively recent for me, but I don't know how many times I may have accidentally NOT replied to people. I've fixed a couple of them, but I may have to take a look thru recent threads to see if I've snubbed anyone by mistake ***

LOL @ Submarine / water pumpkin - at first glance, I thought STEAMPUMPKIN! 'cause you know, the goggles, and cloud-like waves...
I think you can get as crazy as you want, Halloween is no time for normalcy...
If you still plan on this being a freebie, see if you can get it listed on the RPGNow/DriveThruRPG OneBookshelf e-newsletter (check their blog for best days), because they have freebies highlighted.
Though the amount you have in this set already, and the caliber of your work, it's certainly worth charging for.

Another one Pumpkinman... Winged Stinger (with "airy" basing mock-up) Note: background grayish / dark pumpkin (evil/scourged pumpkin?!?) I'm really interested to hear what you guys think

I think more bat-like wings would give a more classic look. I don't think the grey one really works, maybe some moldy rotten spots would be better. A one eyed pumpkin with lots of tentacles could make a vegi-beholder kind of effect.
I like the black mouth and eyes better than the red ones. The red mouth almost looks like molded plastic.

Nah... my graphics rig just died... simply refused to work?!? /so SORRY for not replying e-mails etc./C'mon - SECOND serious crash within ONE year?!(although first one was much more serious - ca. 4TB of data lost - fortunately most of it was additionally backuped/saved but anyway I was forced to restore a lot of projects file-by-file from dozens in not hundreds of DVDs (can you imagine this?!) - which took weeks and even right now I'm discovering that I've restored and overwrite some older versions... GRRR!) And now... after all this... my good-proved-old-buddy-computer just decided to gone wild! #^^&%*%*##%^% BUT" Always look at the bright side of life" So OK, this time it's JUST an @#$&* computer!!! /Well NEVER thought that I'd be kinda "happy" after my PC died... but in fact datafiles are much more of value for me/ SOObviously my PC decided to pass in kinda most " appropriate moment"! As right now we have a lot of new Haswell based both Mobo and CPUs available at affordable prices. So perhaps it's a very good moment to build some brand new modern PC? Just ordered some custom one... but, to be honest, wasn't so brave to risk with WIN8/8.1..
ANYWAY...Right now from my backup computer... Preview of incoming Pumpkinmen - Halloween Special /hope I'll be able to finish and upload this set before Halloween, otherwise... next year?!?)/ PREVIEW:According to some suggestions - "bat-winged" flying pumpkin and "rotten/scourged" greenish pumpkin are on the way!
Cheers!Mesper

When I think of moldy pumpkins, I think of something more like this Orange with dark blue/greyish blotches and some white fuzziness. Sorry in advance for my colloquialisms, but was having difficulty figuring out how to express what I meant without them.

...OMG... This one /vide picture/ pumpkin looks really rotten/scary!!!
Hmm... Well I can do something like this one, but (I'm afraid) not within incoming "Permes Halloween 2013 Set" Thing is I'm already late (due to some described technical issues)...
So most probably I'll include such figurine as bonus or kinda freebe?.. Anyway, great idea - thanks! EDIT Something is wrong with forums cant edit...

Those bat wings look wonderful, and have great mod potential for other minis. Been tinkering with Eddnic's paper bats in the last couple of days, so bat wings have been much in my mind though.
Don't feel too tied to the Hallowe'en date; treat it as a "season" that maybe lasts a couple of weeks either side of Oct 31 (the shops here do, though not as bad as "Christmas" which now begins in August...). Better we get a set you're happy with a day or two "late" than one that's rushed and needs revision afterwards.
Zombie pumpkins - whatever next?!
As for the PC crash, much sympathy. I've had to restore from hundreds of floppy disks before now, and tend to be paranoid about keeping multiple copies in different formats of all key files as a result. But then you have to remember which is the most recent copy...
