Hey Harper fans, I'm building a download page at One Monk dot com for all of the Imperfect creations and one of the things i really need to beautify it is more pictures. If you have Imperfect photos of the different sets, please drop me a link to them. There's a lot of sets and I don't have presentation photos of all of them. I'd like to have it set up in the same fashion as the Jim Hartman's creations download page with snazzy 800x600 pics. I think I have most of the pdf files, and the cut-files, I'll have time to review them in a day or two, and a little logo for the front page; Pics still missing for the Gallery (updated 10/23/14); -desert_folk -drow_elves -halfling patrol -henchmen -night watchmen -nobles -northmen -raiders -townsfolk Send 'em if you have 'em! Thanks.

YAY! All my photos are posted on each of the cutfile and announcement threads, I think... If you have a draft ready at some point, I'd love to preview it, and if I don't have some photo'd, I'll fix that right away.

Are you going to add the re-colours and other 'fan based' sets from the forum hoards and etc.

I _LOVE_ this idea, and heartily second everything mproteau (Paper Realms) says. The Imperfect Tavern & Patrons posting in the Fat Dragon forums is what led me to the Cardboard Warriors, and paper minis in general. So I am heartily indebted to Dryw. And I plan on blowing up more than a couple of sets to double or even triple size for my preschooler to play with; both my boys love the figures as much as I do!

old squirmydadHere's a csv spreadsheet of what I've done so far. I've also been saving all the images that Dryw's supplied of the set he's made up. I could upload them to dropbox too, if it's too much of a pain to hunt them down. The hoards are still something I need to go through to find his specifcally. At some point I could combine the multiple stragglers into a couple of new pdfs... easy enough to do in GIMP. www.dropbox.com/s/3gpaqr3fpwl83y4/Dryw%20the%20Harper%20_%20Imperfect%20Creations.csv

Thank you Squirmydad for making the imperfection accessible, and thank you Dryw for creating such a perfectly imperfect world.

This seems like a good place to post my gratitude as well to Dryw. A very very big thank you for making your creations available to us.

@dryw I can't wait until you put the Imperfect Castle up for sale... if you put it and (some or all of) the figures up for PWYW, we could send you and your wife on a second honeymoon A posted thanks never feels quite enough...

Wow. I wander off for a week (mundane work and responsibilities) and suddenly there's a whole new thread here.
I want to thank all of you for such support. Being more of a writer and musician and never an actual artist, I am always amazed that people enjoy my Imperfect Creations so much, and even I have to think that they've gotten better (less Imperfect, not Perfect, but less Imperfect) over the years.
As for the Imperfect Castle, the more I make, the more things I find need making. Fortunately, I took years of architectural drafting back in my youth, before there were computers or CAD programs, and made scenery long before I made people. My wife is starting to suggest I release the walls, towers, and gate house as a starting package, and all the interior buildings as add-ons, perhaps with separate small sets for a church/temple/chapel, a smithy/stables, and so on. I'm finding the buildings I am making can be combined in all types of interesting ways.
As for today, I need to finish writing for tonight's game (using Brave Adventures Gnolls as shapeshifting hyena-men in my desert campaign as the minions of the Infernal Lord the characters let escape almost 20 game years ago). Perhaps tomorrow I'll get back to work on the castle. Oh, and I still have a few unreleased Imperfect People that haven't been turned into a PDF and posted. Too many projects, not enough me.
Once more, thanks for all your support,
Dryw the Harper

Dryw! You have a PM.... maybe you missed it (sorry guys, i don't know how else alert someone ) The @ symbol, immediately followed by their forum handle. In this case it would be "@ drywtheharper" without the space or " Dryw the Harper" He was apparently here last night, but hasn't posted since Boxing Day. I hope he's just busy making more Imperfect Creations, or readying them for publication

Hi Guys,
Been caught up in mundane life and obligations with very little time other than to drop in and take quick looks around. Just found the message today. I hope to get more things out (I still have many props as well) but currently I'm buried with other things.
Anyway, I'll try to play catch-up.

Squirmydad, let me know which sets you are missing photos of and I'll see about taking the pics. If you go the gallery here - Imperfect Gallerythe pictures you see are the pictures I have... I'm working on prettifying the ones that I have and making a nice frame for each pic, but I don't have many pics. I'm back on this project now that I've gotten through my midwinter mayhem period. I naively assumed there would be more pics available for these sets so I'd appreciate any assistance in this area as I seem to have bitten off more than I can chew...mea culpa.

It occurs to me, that while we recently bugged Christopher Roe to get a tip jar, Dryw the Harper really deserves one. He may not agree, but I'm sure his wife would!

Squirmydad, a small correction: I just noticed that you´ve got the image for the "Street Thugs" in the cell for the "Henchmen" set.
I take it from your last post you´re going to use Dryw´s original images to fill in the missing spots. If not, and you still need images, let me know.

Thanks, having trouble accessing my sites, not sure if the fault is in Transmit or GoDaddy. I've pulled all the pics from Dryw's release thread to use, some more from Dryw's photobucket, couple from the FDG board, some that I took myself, some that people submitted-still missing a huge mound of pics though. I'll post the wish list soon tomorrow for peoples to review and see if they want to contribute to the gallery. Every pic helps.

So it has come to this, we'll bug Dryw's wife so that he finally accepts some of our money? Well, Dryw says it was his wife that convinced him that his upcoming castle, etc. terrain should be offered for sale, since he's putting so much work towards it. I'm hoping that he puts it up for PWYW, so that we can pay him not only for what we feel that set is worth, but for the value of his previous generosity. Now, Dryw may not feel comfortable with that, as he is modest about his accomplishments with respect to the Imperfect People. They may not be the most skillful artwork among the Cardboard Warriors' output, but I've made more use of his minis than I have of all the sets I've purchased (a considerable number). His work not only has a certain infectious charm to it, it often fulfills niches not filled by others' work. I can only think of one occasion where he's provided competition for a mini publisher in my eyes: since I've already used one of his tavern patrons as Kendra Deverin, mayor of Sandpoint in Pathfinder's setting, I've not felt the need to purchase the official Pathfinder minis. Dryw the Harper I apologize if I'm making you blush, or annoyed I just would like to say thank you for all the wonderful minis, in a more tangible form. AND I'M EAGERLY AWAITING ANY HINT OF THE CASTLE!!!!

WackyAnne, the downside to PWYW is that also means the purchaser doesn't have to pay anything at all, and I see the OneBookShelf sites are now listing many such items among the freebies too, which further degrades this option in my mind. Personally, it also makes me feel really uncomfortable when I think I'm going to find a new free item, only to discover it's really PWYW. You don't think your hint about waiting for the castle was too subtle? Because you can change the font size and typeface before posting if you wish.Dryw, WackyAnne was dropping a subtle hint about your Imperfect Castle!

Yeah, perhaps publishers could have a 'Tip Jar' item that is flagged 'PWYW'. Not sure if OneBookshelf would let that fly, but make it clear that it's simply a THANK YOU pdf that you can pay for, if you'd like to contribute to a publisher.

I would think that in Dryw's case there would be enough people like me that would want to remunerate him in some small way for all the Imperfect People, but I'd hate to see that weakened by someone wanting a free ride, too. PWYW is a quandary. And now that more than a few publishers have switched their free items to PWYW, it has made things more confusing. Just the other day, when I'd a little left over from a DriveThruComics gift certificate, I sent $.29 Reivaj's way for his Greek Hoplites set, which was free up until recently. Now I feel foolish, as it's the only contribution, and unfairly represents the value of the set. I'd already picked up all the rest of his figures, save the US Rangers because I only need fantasy figures. Unless I feel I can contribute the average or more, I usually won't buy PWYW, and I usually wait at little bit for a reasonable average to be determined. While people like Christopher genuinely seem happy with giving away stuff for free (now that it's had it turn), I feel bad for those people whose work is undervalued. {Oh, and BTW, your addendum did make me laugh, but in fact, Dryw the Harper is more likely to notice my post than yours, since I tagged him in mine }
