The Library is my next project. This is a big model standing 13" tall (not including the chimneys) and sits on a 6" x 6" ground piece. Lots of fun optional gribblies (steps, dormers, balcony, chimney). My white paper test model went together pretty smoothly. I've finished writing up the instructions booklet and I'm moving right along with texturing. What sort of textures do you want to see on this one?

Looking awesome and a definite must buy for New Elysium. It's close enough to the other designs that it won't look out of place, but with some great unique features that makes it stand out (and up). The corner dormer and double chimneys look fantastic.
I love the stonework textures. Whether it's the large rough stone like on the West Gate and Willow Brook Inn, or the more ordered stonework on Mermaid Tavern, Inventor's House etc.
If I can match that with Tudor beams for the upper sections, that would be awesome too.
I'm not personally a fan of red brick (I've even painted over the red brick of the Swan House Tavern with the rough stone from the Medieval Walls so I can still use the awesome models).
For the roof(s), wooden shingles for me please good sir!

Also, thinking about it, if this is to be used as a library, it needs LOTS of windows. Natural light would be essential, and the more the better.

Oh, and how about a ruddy big clock option on one face too? Make it look even more like a building of great importance.

I've been working on the Library most of this week, after putting the big streets map back on the shelf (to give me time to think about how I want to deal with the large empty lots). I'm pretty nearly finished with the Library of Rake's Corner (ready-to-print version), which will have a brick base and half-timbered upper levels. The roof will probably be slate tiles.
I have a new method for designing windows and doors, and I think they're looking pretty good. Windows are my main focus right now (for the next couple of hours anyway) and then I'll be giving attention to the roofs and the balcony, and that should just about wrap it up.
I'm still planning on a multi-layered PDF version, and a multi-layered steampunk version, but those will come along a little later.

Can't wait to see it. Depending on textures, I'll probably have to wait for a later incarnation myself, but I'm still excited to see the Rake's Corner version.

Can't help but feel that a fantasy library should have an orang-utan dressed in wizard's robes involved somewhere....... ;O)

Just seen it over on your site Dave. Fabulous looking model. Can't wait to see the layered version, it's going straight to the top of the must have list.

And the multi layered version is now available too. Looks fantastic Dave. Which stone texture did you go for in the end? This is going to be my project for Easter.
