Here's my white paper test model of a small shop owned by a fletcher. When the textures are on, you'll see some arrows leaning up against walls, and a bulls-eye target painted on one of the boxes so customers can test their marksmanship.

Will that be a woodpile out back?

Will that be a woodpile out back? I saw something nasty in the woodpile...

I know that arrows by the wall are to be a kind of an icon saying "It is a fletchers workshop and not e.g. a butchers shop",but in general leaving arrows outdoors at the wall it is not the best idea. Wooden arrows unprotected against weather tend to warp when exposed to direct sun (drying too fast). I'm speaking of my personal experience as an amateur arrow maker (I've made about 30 so it's not a big experience but still) I had to re-straighten some arrows I left carelessly laying in the sun at one time. I know it is a fantasy set so authenticity is not an issue but still I would suggest something like a roofed, shaded stall next to the wall of the shop, with arrows in the baskets or in bundles hanging from the ceiling. Just my 2 cents

As an experienced fletcher and bowyer, I'll add my two cents to madarchitect's point - You really never want to leave arrows, bolts, or bows outside for any longer than absolutely necessary. A shed, or possibly an open counter would work well - and the arrows would be in bundles or barrels or baskets.

That's good to know guys. If Dave can't I will fashion an awning from the abandoned wagon covers, and use the casks or brewery kit to make an open topped barrel.
This stuff is so extensible.

The props for this kit are a woodpile, three boxes, two casks, and a hand cart. One of the casks will be open-topped and holding arrows. I'm still going to put a few arrows leaning against the wall by the door (maybe a bow or crossbow too) -- this is not the tidiest of shops, and I'm trying to do something to convey what this shop is actually for, right?

How about a sign hanging out front with two arrows crossed over a bow or something similar? My two cents, one more and you'll have a nickle! BTW: A fletcher's shop, great idea! Can't wait to see it finished.

Can't wait to see it finished. I like the sign idea. An image something like this would work: Note: a similar image was used as part of the symbol of the Francoist Fascist party, la Falange: I would have the arrows pointing downward to avoid any associations with that ideology.

That's the general idea. I was thinking of something a little simpler, though.
I notice that there are six arrows in the tattoo and five on the flag. Do you think mabe three arrows laying horizontally across a bow would work?
I have to go somewhere now, but if I have a few minutes later on I'll sketch something out and post it.

There won't be a hanging sign, but there will be a sign affixed somewhere with an arrow motif.

The multi-layered version of this model is finished and should be available for download by this time tomorrow, and I think there will be a PSD version too. The Rake's Corner (ready-to-print discounted) version will be available a little after that (maybe Monday).
