Hi, there will be different switchable doors, windows and arches in the Lord level to the Knight. And there will be some changes in the texture styles + the Knight level now has "Mage" windows, too. They will be diferent sets after we publish them. Now the Lord level includes every sets with all unlocked stretch goals. Sounds great!  Thanks, Zephalo |

Ok I am in. For now with the "elven lord" pledge. So, at a first glance, it seems to me that the "speed" is different and faster ( compared to indiegogo ). mmm... imho and it is not a criticism, I think that strectch goals are a bit too high. But probably this is just my limited impression by looking at the only present reward ( 7.5k ). Imho strectch goals are the locomotive that pulls from 500/1000 dollars to the following ones, even before the foundation. Also updates ( even just about working progress, with new artworks ... ) and a lively "comments" page will help keep the contacts. |

BSGTony (lordzsezse) - can you elaborate on the differences between the 'Elven Tower' set and the 'Elven Fortress' set? Also, the towers have interiors, but they're all round towers. I'm wondering if I could convince you to include at least a 6x6 tile using your floor textures in each style. I'm sure I could kitbash square towers from the walls (unless you feel like adding that as a stretch goal...) but I think, looking at the floors in the mill, that I'd have a harder time creating floor tiles on my own without compromising the quality of the textures you do provide. Hmm... I can think of some other simple things I would request of you... I'm looking forward to submitting some pictures of some of my grandparents artwork for the walls. I've always wanted a way to pay some respect to their body of work.

Rhannon, we set the stretch goal prices based on the work on a new style, for example making a new look to every sets and goals will take almost 2 months, so we have to set a higher price for a new style. Btw, you are perfectly right, for the other sets we can set them lower if it's necessary. Yeah, it is faster than Indie mproteau (Paper Realms), we will make some sketches for that set, too, then the differences will be clearer. Now we can't show you. Square tower, hm, perhaps later in a stretch goal. |

Though I'm currently living in a Residence Inn while my home is "staged" for sale in two weeks and don't have a new house lined up yet, I'm claiming "Dibbs" on creating the cutfiles for this kit. The OldSchoolDM's wife and I are going a bit crazy for some sense of normalcy during this transition, so we both agreed to keep up (in a limited form) with some of our creative outlets. As a result, I've decided to build this kit ASAP in order to help with the promotion of the Kickstarter. First up: Cutfiles! Watch for my announcement on the appropriate board here....  |

Speaking of which, I would strongly encourage you, BSGTony (lordzsezse), to lay out your pages with registration marks already on them. Here's a zip file that provides a sample .studio file and reg marks compatible with the older and newer cutters. www.dropbox.com/s/l0mwc9arp5yn9yb/reg_mark_layers.zipI say this because it is much easier to build cutfiles for a product that fits nicely within registration marks than one that does not. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's just harder on everyone - the people making the cutfiles and the people using them. I was all excited to print out the ruined sanctuary in anticipation of oldschooldm making cutfiles for them, but now I see there are no registration marks. That means in order to use his cutfiles, I'm going to have to export the PDF pages as images, merge them into his cutfiles and print from there. Please, pretty please, consider making sure the stuff you release has proper registration marks on them? |

I would also add that I'd love to see not only everyone using layers for registration marks (even if they don't make the cutfiles themselves!) but also put your score and cutlines on a layer of their own. If a machine is doing the cutting, it doesn't need the extra markings, and those extra markings can detract from the model. And, your models are damn sexy and deserve the best treatment one can give them!

mproteau (Paper Realms) - Yes and Yes to "add regmark layer" and "add score/cut" layer. For many models, these lines make a big difference in the visual aesthetics of the builds. For the Elven Mill I photoshopped the score-lines out of the rocks, since they were so distracting....

Just a thought lordzsezse, but could you tweak the fold lines so they don't have a black dashed line down them? Add shorter dashed showing where to line up a straightedge on the surround, for example, not on the model itself. On the finished model, these really detract from the appearance, where the fold line can't be disguised - where the corner is white or very pale in colour, for example. I can see this could be a problem for the Elvish set especially, but it also doesn't look good on the lighter stone textures from some of your existing 3D models - such as the yellow stone/desert version of the "Ancient Worlds Base Set" , for instance. |
