Many thanks for the update BSGTony (lordzsezse), here and on the KS webpage. I think it's fair to say most of us don't know how you work, or who does what part of which project, so it's really helpful to have feedback and communications like you posted, mostly because it increases our understanding of what's going on, which in turn makes continuing to support your efforts easier. I certainly wasn't criticising the fact you do release the template packs, or the obvious importance these are for Zsuzsa, just that when that's all we hear from you, it seems strange there's not a KS update at the same time - even if that's just to say you've run into a fresh difficulty because the ivy vines don't work on one of the tower modules, so have to be redrawn (or whatever it is)! Perhaps that could be a separate "template" for you to aim at - send out a fresh KS update when a new template pack is released? Glad to know your proof-reading problem was resolved. I appreciate the difficulty with e-mails. I find I'm better printing off messages I haven't yet replied to, as it's harder to forget something you have to keep moving about on the physical desktop, rather than something intangibly electronic. Doesn't always work, however... Many of us on the CWF seem to be struggling with our own health difficulties, so it's especially easy to have sympathy for Zoltán right now, and to send every best wish for a successful outcome from his next operation, and a speedy recovery. And also good wishes to you and Zsuzsa of course, as having a friend or colleague be seriously unwell upsets everyone's thoughts. Please though don't forget that we'd prefer to be kept better informed as to how things are progressing with the KS materials - even if that's not as well or as fast as you'd like

I'm glad to see that this conversation is remaining moderately civil. However, I do believe that most of this should actually have been done in the commentary of their Kickstarter page. Thank you all for being courteous.

I've been sort of following this , especially since I've been hoping to see it released at some point as a regular purchase since I missed out on the Kickstarter, I love the concept and ideas, and would love to add this to my collection at some point.

Thank you all for being courteous. Fair comments, but for those of us who backed via PayPal, we can't add comments to the KS page, and this at least allows us a public forum (particularly as in my case I had no response to one PM).

I understand the frustration of ignored PM's but I believe they also have a Facebook page for direct commentary. Posting here is a little indirect way of reaching them.

It's a bit more complicated than that, I'm afraid. The group here is a very specific subset of people "connected" to LZZ - papercrafter-friends. Facebook is everyone that everyone knows. Very different audience. This stuff none of my wife and kid's and bosses business :-) Your earlier comment about the KS page was more on the mark, I think. :-)

Just pointing out other venues of expression that may lead to more direct results.

Fair comments, but for those of us who backed via PayPal, we can't add comments to the KS page, and this at least allows us a public forum (particularly as in my case I had no response to one PM). As for me, I think this whole problem should have been handled outside of THIS public forum. Handle it through emails, or pms or smoke signals, but do it elsewhere. That was an attempt at comedy. Now for the non comedy. I come to this site to enjoy my papercraft hobby. I have been involved in this site from the second it was formed and have known several of these members since the old Papermakeit site, and the original paperworlds before that. I love the papercraft hobby and our community. I am in the same boat as everyone else with this kickstarter and I'm trying to be understanding and keep things upbeat. As I told Eric yesterday, I can no longer bring my young Godkids (10 & 6)here to look at stuff and work on projects. I really enjoy doing that as those kids are my life because my wife and I can't have kids of our own, and I bring them here often because I told their mother that it is a kid friendly, conflict free environment. She had seen some of the old conversations about nudity and I assured here that that stuff wasn't allowed here and she was fine with it. Yesterday my Godson wanted to check out the horde forum (he follows it closely)but they are not allowed on the computer unsupervised. She brought him here and then she proceeded to check out the whole site to get some ideas for projects for him. Lo and behold she stumbled upon this mess and now I can't bring him here. Basically it was the whole ultimatums, conflict causing statements, making demands and causing ill will thing that should have been handled in private that did it. This type of thing has no place here and it never has, it belongs in emails or on their website. This is not their place of business. It brings down the fun factor of the site and causes bad feelings for everyone involved who shouldn't have been involved but were because of an unprofessional bad choice by a forum poster. In spite of all this, I'm still not mad at anyone. I am upset that my enjoyment of the site and that of my Godkids has been lessened or completely destroyed in their case, but I hope that in the future people realize that the choices they make really do affect others in ways they may not see. This post may offend some people. It is not my intent, but if it does, I appologize, but know that certain actions directly affected me and I couldn't stay quiet any longer. Think before you act.

I, for one, was not aware of this effect. Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry - I didn't know. Now I do. Posts deleted.

Many thanks for your nice words, the frank advices and we have to say thank you because you shared your deepest fears and thoughts about the project (and us). We learned a lot from them. We will try to keep everything in our mind and do things better, mostly in our communication. (That's why we wrote a KS update yesterday and post it today. btw, oldschooldm, you have a great sense of feel when we would like to post an update ) Zoltán’s surgery will be on the 1st of June so until that we will be here and working on the Beta Wall Set to be sure you get it before the end of the month. After it he needs 1-2 week recovery time and the Dark and Nature texture come within a month after his recovery. So the release date of Beta Set will be between 22 and 29 of May. You can reach us faster on our facebook or via email, but we will be here more times Thanks!

Hi guys, We have good news for everyone who've missed our Kickstarter and planned to buy the parts in stores: we are on to set a pre-order/order page with some extra for pre-orders. I will share the link here, too. The Beta version of Elven Wall Set will come on the 29th of May, this is the first of the 3 huge base sets and Beta will come with the 3 base texture styles and almost every parts. (Beta product will be updated to the final version when it's finished.) FACEBOOK GAMEAnd, we've set a GAME on our Facebook page where the lucky one who missed the Kickstarter can WIN one copy from the Elven Wall set and from its beta release. You only have to guess the price of Elven Wall Set and write down in a comment. Here is the link to it: www.facebook.com/lordzsezseworks/videos/830154873736540/With a video speed-run through the set and what the final version contains to make the guess easier (or harder J). The game lasts from 23th of May until 26th of May and we will announce the winner on the 27th. Good luck you all!

Thought it worth nudging this topic again, as Lord Zsezse have just posted (2016 Jan 17) a fresh progress update on the KS webpage. Things have been quiet from them for about six weeks, so it's reassuring to have word on the latest developments. Next up will be the Steampunk expansion, expected to be released within a month or so - there are fresh photos of most of the parts on the KS webpage. There's also an update on how they hope things will progress, though there's no hard and fast timescale, beyond completing everything promised by the end of this year. You can find the KS update here. Photos look good, incidentally. I'm not a great steampunk fan, but the "flying tower" caught my attention especially!

I'm becoming more and more stempunk addicted so I'm very pleased on how the steampunk expansion is turning out. Great!

Guess who's testing the Dark textures? (Yes, they're awesome) And guess who's already kitbashed fold-flat and a popup staircase?

Thread necromancy seemed appropriate at this point, as I've just noticed the KS page for this project had a fresh publisher's update on 2017 July 29. Unfortunately, it seems Lord Zsezse Works has finally had to admit the failure of this project, and it's unlikely much more (if anything) will be published from it. A sad end, but by this stage, three years on, almost inevitable I think. Personally, while I'd love to have had everything that was originally promised from the KS, I'm happy to consider that I've had my money's-worth overall from what HAS been produced and delivered. Perhaps the most tragic aspect is the damage done to Lord Zsezse Works and the people who worked in it - Antal and Zsuzsa have had to leave to keep paying their own bills, while Zoltán's health has suffered as he's been trying to finish the project virtually alone. I know how supportive the papercrafting community here is of its members, so I'm sure we all wish all three former LZW workers the very best for the future, and to hope that LZW will recover in time and get back to producing more of the excellent papercraft products the company remains known for. This is the link to the KS update mentioned above, for anyone who's not yet seen it. I'd recommend reading it in full, and all the comments.
