Don Boose at the Army Heritage Center had made a request for quick and easy kids models for giveaway/handout. Dave Winfield of Koolwheelz came up with two Hummers. He is also working on a Rover, but that isn't done yet. No Glue! He did these at 1/32 scale, so I printed at 2 pages/page (but I forgot to lose the margins when printing) I have one of Chris Roe's M11's to show scale. It would have been correct if I had remembered to lose the margins. No glue, just four sets of interlocking tabs, so they also fold flat when done. Took all of 45 minutes to print, score, cut out, build, take and post photos. You can find it here: davesdesigns.ca/cutandfold/html/promotional_free_paper_models.html

Impressive, both the design and the build

And Dave has the Rover up. Military and Safari versions, with the same type of construction to allow for fold-flat. I think I will go back and glue the Humvees and these when I build them. They nest, so several vehicles will fit in the space of one for storage. But fold-flat does have advantages...

Rovers are done. Went with the glue method instead of fold flat. The Hummers nest and so do the Rovers Definitely going back and gluing the Hummers. If you want to do fold-flat, I would recommend a reinforcement layer on the slotted tabs and behind the wheels. And flatten when not in use or there will be some warpage.
