You might need to break things down by individual years eventually. How has work been going? You don't talk work too much at Chez Ebbles lately
Oh, they're sorted by individual model years already.
There hasn't really been much in the way of new and exciting things to say about work (if you meant my day job) other than things are getting interesting behind the scenes and we've been keeping our noses to the grindstone on back-to-back convention demos and milestone stuff. A lot of what goes on at work is either stuff I can't talk about because of partner nondisclosure agreements or stuff that's not ready to be talked about yet for reasons that are a bit above my pay grade.
If you meant my papercraft hobby stuff, it's a bit sporadic. I tend to update my blog and the Genet Models website on a specific kind of weekend--if it was a normal non-crunch week at work, then I'm probably not going to be suddenly allergic to computers on Friday afternoon, and that's normally when I deal with personal-time computer stuff.
That reminds me, I need to clear out the empty boxes and crap on the closet table and figure out how I can organize my crafting and hobby stuff into something a bit more portable and non-messy, and I need to replace some of my papercrafting consumables like glue, toothpicks, and Post-It notes. I'd like to be able to get in some more crafting time on the weekends while also being able to put stuff away quickly and neatly so the office tables don't look like a trainwreck during the week.
shep: Also, all the best for the rest of you lot. Stay save, get well, whatever you need!

shep: Great sentiment, @coyotepunc! All the best for your son, and get well yourself, too...

Coyotepunc: Thanks, guys. He's still pretty sick, but no trouble breathing. So we are staying away from the hospitals, so the people who truly need them can use them.

squirmydad: My supervisor's state of mind; she's been climbing the walls begging to put us back in the game. All of Maintenance and Administration are still out, but my supervisor wants to invent projects to bring us back in.

Vermin King: So, essentially, what was so essential today?
Apr 7, 2020 13:16:18 GMT -9
squirmydad: I've been declared "Essential" for today only. Off to work, paper-crafting tonight then.

Vermin King: Two months?!? I need to stop whining. Where's my Wambulance?
Apr 7, 2020 6:05:47 GMT -9
wyvern: Anecdotally, a number of people seem to have been ill with a protracted 'flu-like illness since last winter (NOT Covid-19). I had 'flu for two months from mid December myself. Unhelpfully, my symptoms included cough + fever, identical to Covid-19.
Apr 7, 2020 4:26:04 GMT -9
Vermin King: Best of luck with that, Coyotepunc. Being sick since 03/17, I can somewhat relate to your condition, but I don't have the worry of my kid having problems on top of my own. All the best, sir

alloydog: @coyotepunc - even at 30+, they still yer babies! Not that they appreciate being called that!
Apr 7, 2020 1:14:36 GMT -9
alloydog: Of course, it doesn't help if the mucus is in the trachea.
Apr 7, 2020 1:13:33 GMT -9
alloydog: old squirmydad mentioned fennel tea. If that sort of thing is not for you, or is hard to get, I saw a WHO video where they said to drink plenty of warm/hot drinks, such as tea, coffee, even milk, because it helps shift mucus from the throat to the stomach.

Coyotepunc: So it's going to be a long night of taking his temp every hour... he's 19 but still my baby
Apr 6, 2020 17:56:28 GMT -9
Coyotepunc: I've been dealing with a variety of covid-19 symtpoms since January, except for the fever (12% of cases have no fever.) My kid woke up with almost all the symptoms including high fever today.

squirmydad: Bag is handy, if you find it loose use the seeds, but then you need something like an infuser or it's a mess.
Apr 6, 2020 7:24:51 GMT -9
shep: most likely bag...
Apr 6, 2020 6:32:37 GMT -9
ignatious: just out of curiosity squimrydad, for the tea seed, frond, or bulb?

Vermin King: My friend Mike brought a sword to his church last night, but since he was there recording his sermon for today, he thought it would be okay

marcpasquin: Every time I go out, my wife tells me to be safe and reminds that as this is not a zombie apocalypse, I am not allowed to bring a chainsword with me to the grocery store.
Apr 5, 2020 17:44:30 GMT -9
Vermin King: No, this is the first time I have heard of it
