Since I don't play much of anything these days, if you need a proofreader who isn't going to want to question the rules you have set up, I could probably do it. How many pages are we talking? I've actually got a reasonably free weekend this weekend.

Vermin King I'm not sure David's even online this weekend. He said he was going to spend a week at his cottage to decompress & reconnect with his family, before jumping back in with both feet.

I'd guess the main rules won't be ready in a final form suitable for proof-reading for a while. Preparing texts always takes longer than you expect anyway! Plus of course there are a lot of other things for David to organise apart from the rules and adventure books.

There's an update on progress with the Beta rules on the KS Updates page today, which also has a couple of preview shots of the Dark Elves and Tree Men from the Lord Zsezse Elven Towers KS. Looking great! |

There's a fresh update on progress with the beta version of the rules today on the KS Updates page. Unfortunately, you have to log-in to read it, and as I've not had an e-mail about it, I imagine other backers who, like me, paid through PayPal won't have any way to read this okumarts, as we can't log-in to the KickStarter system! It'll need a circular e-mail to all backers to cover the problem, I suspect, unless you've maintained a separate set of PayPal backer e-mail addresses. |

There've been three fresh updates regarding delivery progress for this project on the okumarts Darkfast Dungeons KS posts page in the last few days, including one on Nov 5th to say the Beta Rules Appendix was available, but again linking only to a page not available to the PayPal backers. As last time too, I've still not had an e-mail about this, so whatever the glitch was previously, it's still presumably ongoing. David's two more recent posts dealt with wanting feedback for the card layouts. So... The red surround and grey interior works well for the sample Necromancer card to me, but a purple interior (like the Demon sample) might work just as well here. My impression is that neither the sample blue or grey interiors work all that well for the two character card samples though. However, it's tricky to tell whether these colour combinations will work with mini illustrations in colours other than those of the samples, so I'm wondering if keeping the red (opponent) and blue (character) outer card borders will work, but with the interior panel done for all in a white with light grey marbling texture instead? As all the mini drawings have a black border, putting them on a predominantly white ground may help them pop better, perhaps? But this would need testing first I suspect. Subsequent Edit: OK, scratch that comment in the first paragraph above about the e-mail not having arrived, as it now has. Looks as if it went the scenic route, as it's dated Nov 6, but arrived after one e-mail that came in today (Nov 7)! Still, here now and PDF Appendix successfully downloaded, so all's well |

I'm glad you got it. I waited this time and didn't panic when I heard some people hadn't got the email. It seems that some people require an extra day or two to get it.
So far I'm thinking the coloured border will be the best way to do it. It's so fun solving these problems WITH people instead of on my own.

Darkfast Dungeons Kickstarter Supporters, this message is for you! Well, I was aiming for a bit earlier in the month, but check your emails for links for the Basic Set of Darkfast Dungeons! It's big, spread out over two zip files. I had the opportunity to play the game with everything ready to go and it was so much fun. I hope you have some time to print and build and play over the holidays and enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making the game for you. The Advanced Set (Walls and Tiles) will be available around New Years. These releases will be followed by the Stretch Goals and the Add Ons in the new year.  |

Just a question, did you decide to just go with just tables instead of cards? Either way is fine by me, I was just expecting to have to print out tons of little cards. I printed out everything else and was looking around for a lost file. Also, are the cards in the DFD_other_opponent file supposed to be black and white? Anyway, thanks for the hard work on the game. It looks awesome, especially printed out on best photo setting. My game group is really itching to play it in all its glory! Merry Christmas!! |

I haven't checked everything yet - only just downloaded and unzipped it! - but you should find three files there for Character, Opponent and Boss Opponent cards. Happy printing  Great work David, though I can scarcely believe you're apologising for managing to release the Basic Set a month ahead of schedule (from the KS page, " Estimated delivery: Jan 2015")! |
