Hey guys, been printing off loads of miniatures the last year or so and figure it's time I gave back a bit, gonna start out with some dwarves. To start with, here's an amiable priest of Moradin No PDF, ad I did it on my iPad and have no idea what I'm doing, but I figure I'll sort that out once I have a few more. I'd love some criticism, as I'm sure there is room for loads of improvement,

I can't wait to see what you produce once you know what you are doing.

That looks great! I know you said he is a priest, but when I first saw him I was imagining him as the genial mayor of a small town. I'm looking forward to seeing more!
I did notice he only has 3 fingers on each hand like a simpson's character. Was that on purpose?

I thought of giving him an incense burner or a weird pope hat or something, he was gonna have an anvil logo on his chest but then I remembered "d'oh! Beard!" The finger thing was an accident originally but then the more I thought of it I kinda liked having 4 fingers being a dwarven thing so they can have beefier strong hands ala superhero squad or Simpsons. Thinking of making an anvil shaped alter to go with him

I like him a lot. He has a benevolent, Papa-Smurfness to him that is very appealing. However, I think I like your avatar even more

As the "other" cowboy on this board, welcome! Besides half of our screen name, we also share the desire to increase the differentiation between dwarves and humans. I like the four finger idea.
Maybe he could have anvils embroidered on each shoulder? You gotta figure that dwarves have long since started designing their clothes around beards;)

Well let me say howdy then, lol.
I like the anvils in the shoulders, maybe I'll add some more geometric shapes to his vestment apron thingy I tried that with the belt but it looks a little Native American.

Didn't mean to post one and split, this guy took so dang long to do on my iPad I decided to just draw and color them traditionally, then after doing a bunch in actual size, decided to redraw them AGAIN, at 150% so they'd look better when finally scanned. Gonna color them, but I figured I'd better scan them first in case I screw them up somehow, and have a backup. Some dwarven villagers, Tribe of kobolds (because they're my favorite starter monsters over goblins) Adventurers from my home campaign, which is a fantasy Wild West setting, Human wizard, Tiefling ranger, warforged fighter and human bard, respectively. I'll have to rescan, it got cropped a bit. Npc's from that campaign, the employees of the Griffins eye saloon.

Love them!! Can't wait to see the final coloured versions - you have enough there to start up your own publisher's board!!!

Good luck and don't be afraid to ask for help! if anyone is interested in coloring them or anything I could put up a higher res scan, I must admit the thought of coloring them now at this point is pretty daunting. I love doing the linework but getting past the black and white part is not my strong suit. I was able to get my own computer end of February which has helped a lot but Im very clueless when it comes to inkscape or gimp. feel free to hit me up on twitter, which im quite active on, cowboycentaurunfortunately I forget to check on this forum very often.

Maybe someday I'll be competent enough to be able to put a set or two up on drive through, but for now any that I get done are for anyone to use if they care to.

I for one would like to take a crack at some of these. Why don't you give us a higher res scan of one of the sets you put up and we can see what we can do.

I will try to have that done later tonight! We have an egg loss situation at our house currently. My kids are outside trying to find them. ;-)
600 dpi should be good enough right?

<...> 600 dpi should be good enough right? Colouring? IMHO 300DPI would be absolutely enough

sorry it took me longer than expected guys. got them rescanned and sort of arranged, I attempted to clean them up a bit with varying results. I had intended to go over the linework once they were all colored, but then with the hope of some of you kind people coloring them and possibly navigating through the confounding mystery that is vector software, maybe turn them into something someone could print and use, well my daughter had other ideas. it seems that my daughter decided to help me out and surprise me by coloring a lot of the minis I had to varying levels of completion. some of them aren't half bad actually, dunno if theyre more difficult to work on now, I honestly have no idea how imagur works. I may be sticking to GIMP from now on, she definitely didn't get a few as well as the others, and didn't go with the color palate I nessisarily would have, but dang, she apperantly worked pretty hard on them so I couldn't really get after her other than suggest "hey, maybe ask first next time?" your blue coller run of the mill dwarvenkind. i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj36/prscholtz/Dwarftownspeople_zpsqxdckdiv.pngas said before, they have four fingers because I just like that in my dwarves. much like I insist that Orcs MUST have mustaches in my home campaign. Edit: and it looks like is crewed up the royal dwarves. will try and get back up when I get home from work.
