A project I'm working on, some feedback would be appreciated; I know the optics need to be larger, and have a back plate to accent them better, my question is; is it too dark overall? Are the armor bits too shiny?

He looks like he's pulling a knife out of his leg, in pain. Perhaps flipping the head?

The armor has a nice gunmetal look to it so I wouldn't say it was too shiny. I think the cloth parts are too dark though and need to be lighter. Funny, - I wondered if he'd been stabbed in the leg too

I don't think is too dark, but berhaps everything have the same tone. If you'll keep the armor (and the fron plate) in that color then i'd add more "contrast" by changing the clothes color... maybe even darker could work, to make the two gradients (armor and clothes) more "distant".
Uh.... why it have purple shadows?

From my failed experiences in the past, I'm gonna say that until you have printed out the standee and like how the colors have come out, then it's too dark. I could make a completely white mini with white outlines, and it'd STILL print out too dark. :-P
