I usually don't like vintage models, but your craftmaship is unquestionable! Bravo!

Fantastic redesign you did of that vintage model. Shame you didn't have the time to build it with the doors open and an interior - still a great model, though. Especially love the carriage! Great build, even with the individual spokes cut out. Very well done!

Well, since a bit of a bug killed my Labor Day weekend plans, I worked on the carriage cleaning it up a bit more and making sure that all the parts were there. It's a pretty straight-forward build in itself, and not too difficult if you want to jazz it up. The floor piece for the driver folds back on itself. The window panels are there if you wish to cut out the windows and place these pieces behind. The lower carriage pieces get glued behind so that you have mirror images behind the wheels. The extra wheels are there to have extra rim and hub layers. The extra lanterns can be cut out and laminated to give the lanterns more depth. And yes, the spokes should line up if you want to go the extra mile and trim around the spokes. On the model that I did on the contest, I cut bbq skewers to length and painted black for the axles. So, here you go: I certainly hope I didn't screw something up

I can't believe that I've spent almost six hours on trying to turn the 'automobil' into a proper or semi-proper model Rats, I just had an idea for fixing it, but I don't think I feel like it anymore. I just kinda guessed on adjustments on dimensions, but they would need more of a redesign. Building it straight would have been worse

For some reason the like button isn't working right now, so let me say: Thanks for the carriage!

You are very welcome. I wish my 'enlightenment' on the car hadn't been an 'easy' fix. Maybe I will come back to it. Basically set the hood/grill as a separate piece. Then have the windshield piece extend down to the deck where it then becomes the top of the fenders, like Norbtach does on his truck fenders. The hood would fit onto that. The grill will wrap under itself forming a box that would be the front bumper and axle. If I didn't visualize it in such detail I definitely would drop it, but maybe I'll come back to it

Well, I was going to go through and do a re-build of the new files on the Carriage House/Garage, but I've been sidetracked beyond belief. Only I have another issue. The files are too large to post. I don't wish to lose too much detail, but how might I reduce the file size?

You should probably pop the files onto a dropbox (or similar) account and post a link to them, rather than trying to attach them directly to the forum.
If you REALLY want to attach it to the forums, exporting JPGs at 70%-ish quality probably is fine -- it's also likely that upon printing you won't notice a difference in the quality.

Actually, I used to do Dropbox as a way to get documents to the agents I broker for in my business, but when the computer died that I was using, I didn't get it set up on this (or on my phone). I'll have to go through old emails and see what I need to do to get back on it.
EDIT: Going through the old emails, I deleted whole heaps and gobs of old emails until I found the dropbox emails from 2011. Deleted 1732 emails along the way. It may have been time for that...
