BTW, I didn't check the scale on mine. It is the same size as my elf chariot. I will add a little note to the post.

Another one asset for Dwarven Chariot project: Chariot Side-Wings. There is LEFT and RIGHT wing and "internal" sides are darker. IMO best effect could be achieved after some bending. Of course additional black bordering/outline is needed but as it depends on use and final style I'm leaving it to you. JPG (if you prefer layered TIF just let me know): Hope these might be useful.

I am going to do a basic iron chariot. I will leave embellishing to all you guys. And if someone else wants to do a second chariot, my feelings will not be hurt.
A little explanation on the unacceptable chariot. My version I used as a base was in my opinion too narrow. It also did not have a colored interior. And the wheels were incomplete (I used the rims supplied by Mesper). As I said earlier, I needed to check my geometry before I got too far on texturing.
So I built the Roman chariot, using those horrible horses (actually one horse that I doubled), adding a harness tree. I added the box axle (which I had to re-do, because I did it before I widened the floor and made a skid-plate). When widening the floor, I thought the length was fine, but I needed to elongate the front piece to wrap around the floor. I also made a slightly smaller interior piece for the inside.
The tabs should have been re-designed. These are horrible. It still needs to be a touch wider (I will remember to adjust the length of the axle this time). I will also have to reduce the height of the 'wall' around the floor. Once I see that that is correct from a geometry perspective, I will start with texturing.
I have a birthday gift to make tonight, but will get back to this tomorrow. If I finish early, I might even take a couple pictures of the chariot I made up last night.

Dwarven Armoured Battle Goat - ready to go version. Please note that TIF file (download link) contains separate layers for Goat and Rock, so you can reposition and/or resize both components or replace rock with any other "ground". I've already downsized working version and converted into RGB, still you will need to rescale it accordingly for 28-30 scale. TIF version includes only A-side version - but as this figurine is symmetrical all you need is to copy both components. Then I'm not quite convinced regarding colouring, perhaps some sort of greyish or even light blueish would be more appropriate (still you can apply your own filters though). Preview: Quality TIF version (direct download link):

I'm reworking Armoured Goat into MOD-KIT - with discrete horns, which could be deflected and bended for 2.5D effect. Then I'm going to add a couple of horn versions (with and without metal hoop) and varied colours...

Found out the neighbor girl's birthday was yesterday, so I had to make her a monkey. No progress on the chariot

Mountain Goat entry MOD-KITOK so here is the basic idea: So the only 2.5D feature are discrete horns. You can "glue" these two horns (each A and B side) between A and B sides of the figurine or just stick onto already assembled mini. As horns will be available in TIFF format (so much bigger than needed for 28-30mm scale, so no quality loss even when stretching etc.) you can rescale and position and then BEND or form them as you like. But first things first - the "unarmoured" and "hornless" goat TIFF download link (as previously rock/ground is on separate layers): Mountain Goat - basic versionNEXT:Horns

As promised - GOAT HORNS!Right now 3 versions only: -armoured -yellow/golden -regular (greyish?) Preview:Of course if you are into 2.5/3D you'll need to print these twice for two A-B side horns - please see some sort of instruction in previous post. Downloadable 300dpi RGB TIFF file:Mountain Goat Horns 2.5D - brought to you by PERMES direct download link...Perhaps some more versions would be interesting (like brown/beige colour, or blueish or even some bloody one)? Anyway - ENJOY!

Finally had some time to work on this again. Stretched the shrouds slightly and slightly lowered the height of them. Re-worked the chariot tongue. Added some texture, but need to clean it up a bit (unless, in the spirit of 'let's do it together', someone wants to jump in) I should have been in bed an hour ago, but here is where I'm at. Haven't built it, yet, but I was taking extra care with my geometry changes, so it should build well. Fold the top and bottom of the floor at the line. Glue the outside shroud with the tabs under the floor top. They will be hidden when you glue the floor together. Glue the inner shroud inside. Make the axle box. glue the wheels together and the tongue together. Should build okay. Anyone feel like doing a beta test? I haven't reduced the size from the roman chariot at this point, only changed a few heights and widths. I was going to build it and then decide how much to reduce it.

A little progress on cleaning this up. Will add battle goats, build and rescale tomorrow. At least that's the plan I added the second set of wheels, because I want to enhance the rim and hub. Do you see anything that needs changing?

Could really use a chariot rider Dwarf for this. It seems that of the Dwarves I have gotten from the forum, there is quite a bit of variation in Dwarf height. What is the 'standard' height for a Dwarf?

And now I have the image of a Dwarf with a Musket riding a Grizzly burned into my mind...

A little more progress. Did I get the horns proportioned right for the body? What is a good way to get a black border? The goat looks good, but he would be a bear to cut out, as is And I don't want to downsize the whole thing until I have a Dwarf chariot rider. Hint, hint

<...> It seems that of the Dwarves I have gotten from the forum, there is quite a bit of variation in Dwarf height. What is the 'standard' height for a Dwarf? Something like here perhaps? - Human Paladin (big, strong man): min. 2m (200cm) tall - up to 2.20m, same if not even bolder and taller for Barbarians (he refuses to take a photo)
- Human Dark Monk: +/-1.80m - 1.90m
- Human Warioressa: +/- 1.65m - 1.75m
- Lowland Dwarf: 1.20m - 1.40m
But then there are also some smaller ones like Forest Dwarves (aka Gnomes) and almost "giant" Mountain Dwarves, which are quite tall, even up to 1.65m, can you imagine?!

Could really use a chariot rider Dwarf for this. It seems that of the Dwarves I have gotten from the forum, there is quite a bit of variation in Dwarf height. What is the 'standard' height for a Dwarf? i tend to print thingd - especially from new artists to me - off grayscale and draft quality to check their sizes against what I already have. And this is especially true of dwrves as they do tend to vary so much. I then measure them up by eye against either okumarts or One Monk figures - which i use as my "standard" size - and adjst the print accordingly. @permes' figures tend to be a bit on the small and thin size actually, for example, and I tend to print them off at 110-112% of full size. With these small variations there is not enough loss of quality for me to worry about vectorising them and learning GIMP to adjust the size. Other people may feel differently.

Well, I swiped a Dwarf from Hoard 3, so I think I am close to the final dimensions. Test build probably won't happen until tomorrow night, but here is where I am at.

Yardwork always seems to get in the way on Saturday afternoons. I had to cut out the spokes, but notice that the upper part of the wheels have the spaces textured like the body, should you decide not to go to the extra effort. For the simple version, just glue two faces together and you have a wheel. Extra wheels can be used for extra thickness, extra detail or be ignored. I chose to use them for extra rims and hubs Next steps: glue the tongue together, glue the axle together, and glue the outer shroud to the floor. You can either have the wood texture or the brown metal texture on top. I chose wood upper with a metal 'skid plate' Pre-shaping the inner shroud helps installation, then glue these pieces together Playing with the geometry on the chariot body pieces on the Roman chariot let me get almost perfect on the Dwarf chariot. As this was only a test build, I figured I would have to make another adjustment, but it fits nicely. Now (after dinner) I will assemble the wheels and attach
