A few days ago, on a Spanish blog about history and military uniforms ( a very great blog, imho ), Miniaturas Militares by Alfons Cànovas I saw some humoristic military uniforms tables ( or netter sheets drawn for boys ) really beautiful in my opinion. These military figures are not paper minis, are not paper soldiers, I don't know if they can be used in wargames , RPGs, boardgames ... but they are gorgeous ( I love the drawing style of this artist ) Some examples ( on this blog there are at least 30 full tables in good resolution and dozens of other images ): WW1 U.S. Army Modern U.S. Army ... and many other sheets (Zulus, Napoleonic, prehistoric, firefighters, teutonics, spartans, vikings, WW1 ... ) But I don't like only his military uniform sheets. I really like his drawing style. Paris - Hotel de Ville "OPENING ROAD" - The last publication in China by Zhang Xing WW2 Planes An upper Manhattan building Roman legionaries ... Problems: 1 - I can't find information ( or other news ) about this artist/author. I only know ( from the Spanish blog ) that he is a Chinese university professor and who would like to live in Spain. His translated name is Zhang Xing. 2 - I can't find his commercial publications in international online shops ( probably because I don't know his correct name and I don't know the right books' titles ) 3 - I can't find his other military uniform sheets ( they should be hundreds ) in good resolution because I can't find his official page, or direct links. And I can't read Chinese language. link 01link 02link 03link 04link 05link 06link 07link 08link 09link 10link 11link 12link 13But all these links are not useful ( when they work ) So ... someone ( who can read Chinese, or know this author, or he is interested in these drawings ... ) maybe can help me to find more images and other information about this author.

Those are very interesting. I really like those horses and equipment, and the figures are 'charming'.
There are several Chinese members of the papermodelers.com forum, you might ask over there

God I love them!!!! I so, so, so want a set of his cavemen as paper minis!!! I don't know why ... ( they are not paper minis, they aren't old paper soldiersm, they have no back art ... ) but ... also I love them. PS: if I can solve something ( to contact the author or/and, if it is possible, to buy these sheets, or other ... ) I remember you, Mike.

It seems to me that is this a chibi style? Only so-so in my opinion. I hate chibi style. What strikes me the most ( ok it is everything, colors, drawings ...) are some intrinsic aspects of these figures. The youthful humanity ( given the target audience ) and the historical depth remaining in the "lightness." In any case I find difficult to explain it without my native language. Sorry. PS: Pavaro, I'm sorry, I can't find your paper figures. Where are they?

I think what you are trying to say Rhannon is "They're adorable!!!!!" Right! You are completely right. Thank you. but besides being "adorable" these figures also have a human appearance research (even in the worst moments of the men) a lot deeper than it seems at first glance. In a perfect way because boys can learn the history imho. OT: Mike did you notice that there are no more new paper minis ( thank God there is Aaron ). Also Pavaro disappears when you ask him for his paper figures.

As I don't have enough money to get toner for my printer, I'm kinda glad there hasn't been too many new releases!! lol! Just about finally got round to cutting and edging my backlog of minis that I had printed. (Admittedly now pretty much just duplicates that I am making up now.)
I have at least a dozen sets lined up to print once I do get the ink for them though!!!

Right! but " ... there hasn't been too many new releases! ..." is an euphemism.

I done many figurines (I have not showed) but you are showing more and more new figures so I want to try many styles. Now I don't know which have see the daylight.
