A Tragedy of the Commons: The Six Towers
Looking down from The Winterhawk Tower, the bowman asks - "I'd heard of the Font of Blood before, and of the Six Towers, but never when I got assigned here did I imagine this! Is it true?"

[Main Entry Image]
"Aye, laddie...", the watch captain's tone softens as he speaks reverently, with a tinge of boredom,
"... the fountain is blood colored, but quite magical.
Despite tasting like iron filings, one cup can heal you of wounds and poisons!"

Made with The Fountain by Papercraft Dungeon (bravesirkevin)
He continued, "And when it was first discovered, peoples came from far and wide and drained it nearly dry in a few weeks...
... (long political/war saga omitted)
... and it was decided to control the distribution of the 'blood' by setting a guard tower for each constituency."
"Look at this map as I go over the sextet."

"Of course, our tower here at Winterhawk is was the first of the six"

"It was the act of laying this tile" the captain points over the edge, "around our perimeter that discovered Blood Spring almost 200 years ago."

"We always keep a few folks outside the walls, to keep the others honest."

"Besides them, and the guards up here, we have folks inside the tower at all times as well."

"Clockwise we next come to the wizards.", he points to his left around the giant hexagon.

"They're the main reason we added mages to our team. They're sneaky!"

"And though those LOOK like glass windows, they can still cast spells from them!"

NOTE: The original model does not have an interior or transparent window.

"But boy, they ain't half as bad as their neighbors, the Orcs!"

This is an old model, Watch Tower by Stone Edges
"They took the longest to build their tower. Not really clever. But they made it the tallest!
You can see their beady yellow eyes lookin' at ya."

"The worst part is that the always coming charging out of that tower a howl'n and jump'n around.
Oh! Here they come!"

"They keep their windows sealed - I wonder what they do in there anyway?"

"The monks are about as strong a contrast as you'll ever see. Built their monastery across the way."

"It's said that they never drink anything from the fountain, and
are studious in assuring that allotments are strictly followed."

"They are constantly training inside there on all three floors."

"On the other hand, the Elves treat the font with a mixture of fear and awe."
"Do you mean 'with respect', sir?"
"Aye, but stronger than that."

"Their archer windows give them great visibility and good cover."

"They say the inside of their tower is as ornate as the outside. But they keep to themselves."

"Finally, the people to our right in the newest tower are from some rich brewery clan.
I forget the name just now - we just call them 'The Rebels.'"

"Being new, they cause a bit more trouble than the rest, as the are always testing limits and traditions."

Mini are the companion figures Constables on Patrol by Kev's Lounge (bravesirkevin)
"I've been up to their dormer level to enjoy some of their legendary family ale.
Which is probably part of the reason they get into trouble - they are armed to the teeth."

"What's that? There's something going on down there, boy!
History lesson is over! Keep alert!

Builder's comment:
This model contains both the first tower I ever built (Winterhawk by FDG) and the latest (Watchtower by MMP) - they ALL have some playable interior, and all break down, or fold flat!
This is a great hobby, and this community has made it all possible. I really wanted to create a tribute-to-the-designers - a sort of history of the PDF papercraft terrain piece.
I made a concerted attempt to identify every model used in this entry. If you find any mistakes, please reply and let me know so I can fix the attributions.
