As my development thread has a lot of photos, I won't bore you with a lot here. But this little shot that was inset in a picture of the actual building is what I was using as a starting point on the diorama And here is what I ended up with Credits-- Dave Winfield for the Landspeeder mrentertainment for most of the figures grendelsmother64 for the basis of the two Jerbas MomirFarooq for the tile templates, with a modified sand texture from the One Monk downloads Xbox Kinect site and Ghost of Man site for additional buildings that were modified Sirrob01 for the dome modified for the surveillance module Various internet folk with screenshots which allowed me to get a reasonable facsimile of the entrance and additional figures and a huge thank you to Chris/lightning for the dome that I was able to modify for the main cantina building I also wish to thank all of the encouraging comments. I was able to participate in several interests at once on this: Sci Fi Movies, History and Architecture. Could it have been done better? Of course, but if it wasn't for all the fine members here encouraging others, giving helpful advice, and generally helping this poor guy who was in over his head, it couldn't have happened. Thanks

I love the cantina although I´m not a hardcore fan of Star Wars, so I´m happy that you managed to finish it. Very nice indeed.

It just seemed that it was time and passed time that someone try to do a model of this iconic building. Thanks

Glad you could still finish your diorama on time. Especially love the landspeeder - looks great!

One of the things I have really wanted to see us do for a long time is take the Hoards to a higher level and do a group project. Not just a theme, but a project with a specific goal.
This was almost it. So many folks either helped with modules, research and ideas, I had to see this project through.
I'm paraphrasing, but when I posted the photos on Dave's forum, he said that he couldn't imagine a better display for his landspeeder.
I think I'm not the only one who felt it was long overdue to have a model of this iconic structure, even if it is only a model of the movie set.
Thanks, everyone
