The Mal'gnar are a minor race of humanitii in the Official Traveller Universe as presented in the supplement The Beyond by Paranoia Press back in the early '80s. Described as winged humans with raptor talons instead of normal feet, I have always had a fascination with them. This is my first attempt to render one in any form of media. Download

This looks really good. You have created a real sense of movement and there are no obvious seams where you have (apparently) joined bits from various sources. Great work! BTW you say Jara Bird Knights are "uncredited" but they were created by aaron.

Also all the unaccredited parts of your models are actually credited. sooo the tau stuff was done by Jim Hartman, and hosted by squirmydad the guy who runs and owns this very forum you can find them onemonk.com/onemonk-dl.html there on the bottom of the page and the Barbarian was done by another guys on these forums I can't remember who? I can dig it up though if your going to keep using it. It's nice to be remembered.

I'm not sure on how GW works but I guess I would think as long as it's provided as free (nonprofit)/fan art it would be ok? (I could be wrong?)

GW makes it a sport to sue everyone they can grasp. That's one of the reasons why all those BFG ships pop up and disappear constantly on shapeways. There's a reason, why they are located in Nottingham. I sense a certain sheriff's legacy here...

Hahahaha, This is exactly why I've yet to buy anything GW, I want to cause I love the Tau but hate the ideals of the company (I'm also a crappy painter, lol). Also they are crazy expensive vs other minis and at least with paper minis they are cheap, already textured, and if something gets ruined I can just print and build another and not have to buy a whole new kit and repaint.

well GW is under new management and I hope we have seen the last of their Brutal lawsuit crazy days. but still better to be safe than sorry. I don't Hate GW they have provided me with years of entertainment both in games and watching their company grow from a mom and pop indy game company to the massive beast that it is now and the blood sport along the way. I don't think that @coyotepunc is going to get sued by GW but like I said better safe than sorry

Funniest part of GW is that when you come into one of their shops, the people there always look around you, trying to find the 10-year-old who lured you in there to buy him stuff...

Thank you all for the artist credit. I will be updating my download to reflect that.
In re GW, the bits of Tau on the model are in fact based on their IP; however, as those bits compose less than 40% of the model I feel I should be safe from their lawyers :-)
I appreciate the feedback!

Nah, better safe than sorry! GW is like the Spanish inquisition, and no one expects...
