Hey Everyone!
I just picked up a Silhouette and have started playing around with upping the production quality on my minis.
To that end I had some questions about what paper you guys prefer to use?
Does anyone use sticker paper? Has anyone had a luck with clear (transparent) sticker paper?
I found the sticky mat the Silhouette come with absolutely destroy the 52lb glossy photo paper I normally use (gets rolled up when peeled off) - just ordered a light stick mat to hopefully resolve that issue, but is there a thickness of paper anyone has found works particularly well?
Thanks in advance for any advice/wisdom.

Thanks in advance for any advice/wisdom. When you get a new mat, take an old towel, sweater, or some other fuzzy cotton item and pat it onto the mat. You could also give a quick bath using dish soap and a scrubbing sponge to take off some of it. That will help ease the glue a little bit. Pressing the exposed surface with your hands can help as well. When you remove your paper from the mat, pull up the paper a little bit then turn it face down on your surface, hold your paper down and peel the mat from the paper slowly. This should help minimize curling. I haven't tried clear sticker paper yet, but sticker paper is a little tricky. You have to get the depth between not cutting through the top layer and cutting all the way through the whole sheet. If you have the ratchet blade, I think a setting of 1 or 2 with double cut checked should do it (your results may vary).

I don't recall the settings I used, but I've done sticker paper and clear transparency. I used to have my blade set WAY too deep, and that was all great until the blade got dull and started dragging through the mat. Then I realized how much damage I did to the mat...
