OK, so I arrived in California last night. Madera, specifically (just north of Fresno, if anyone lives in the area. We ran out of room in my brother-in-law's trunk, and so I needed to leave a lot of stuff at my parents' place, including almost all of my hobby stuff. Somehow, my box of papercrafting tools and my box of "to be finished" paper items was stashed in my box of clothes to fill a little extra space. So it was a happy discovery when I found it after we got in. For the last couple of months, I have been in touch with gamers in this area via FaceBook, and the two big games they play 'round these parts is SAGA and Bolt Action. So I have ordered an Irish warband for SAGA, exploiting those Black Friday online sales and having it sent here. While I am waiting for it to arrive, I will be starting my first California papercrafting project, the Celtic Village. Because if I am fielding Dark Ages Irish, I am sure as heck going to field the entire kingdom as terrain (Irish kings frequently had a village or two as their kingdom.) So hopefully in a week or so, I will have some shiny new toys assembled and ready to show

Well, you already have the Gallarus Oratory, Standing Stones, St. Mary's cross, a bog pony and some burial mounds...
Wishing you all the best in your new digs
